So proud to be of Croatian decent! This music reminds me of my Grandfather! He would dance to this music every Sunday. We all would come home after Mass and Grandfather would turn on the phonograph and the Croatian folk music would begin to play and my Grandfather and I would dance up a storm in our living room. I loved it!
Our eyes and ears are often serenaded with Croatian music and dance at folk and church festivals here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. I live a short walking pilgrimage from a Croatian Catholic Church where I also regularly attend their exceptional monthly (most months) fish fry with friends! 👃🏼🍻🍽🐟🍞🥔🥬🍰🇭🇷🇺🇸I’m a folk dancer and enjoy the occasional Croatian recreational folk dance, they’re quite lively happy feet dances.👂🙃
I've made a video about Croatia : ua-cam.com/video/P64EWyAt0-E/v-deo.html I would really love to go there mainly in the Adriatic coast especially Istria
This sort of clothes is related to the Illyrians, so maybe you should ask them, oh you can't since they died out and assimilated into the Croatian, Bosniak, Serbian, Montenegrin and Albanian ethnos.
@@veselizombij773 Do you know if this dance is actually from Korčula? I know this dance as "Sasha" (Russian nickname for Alexander), and it's a popular dance at folk dances in the U.S., and also for children's dances. It was brought to the US by a US folk dance instructor, who supposedly learned it from a Danish instructor, who supposedly learned it from a German instructor (and probably so on from there). But, I haven't found any any reliable information about where it actually originated - it's such a simple, fun dance, it's the kind of dance that spreads very easily.
Very nice dance! Is similar to "La Vinchia" found in Bellaria, Rimini, Italy. The dance comes from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which arrived for "seaside reasons" (so wrote the researcher), because Bellaria was a tourist seaside resort. This is "La Vinchia": ua-cam.com/video/Z0c4EXG6Vj8/v-deo.html

The dancers are wearing costumes from the Dubrovnik area. The dance which they are doing is presumably from there.
Bob Leibman they are Konavle costumes 😀 Dubrovnik has its own set of costumes.

Красивый танец, красивая музыка чувствуется южное средиземноморское влияние.
