Would you consider doing a video on how to navigate the details of an email list with Mailchimp? Your step-by-step videos are SO good!!
When I set mine up I literally had a step by step tutorial guiding me through it. And there have been things that have changed since then too. Maybe one day, but definitely not in the near future. I’m sure there are some here in UA-cam that would be much more helpful than anything I could do right now 😆

Let me tell you my Etsy shipping nightmare. I started my first shop and got my very first order. So exciting. I noticed Etsy had a suggestion that my package could be picked up directly at my mailbox with no need to take it to the post office. I thought this was perfect due to the current pandemic. I placed it at my mailbox directly in front of my home about 2 hours before the mail carrier was to show up. It was gone within 20 minutes. Unfortunately I realized when I started tracking it online that it wasn't going anywhere. My package had been stolen! I had to put together a new package and took that one to the post office. I guess you live and you learn.
Oh No!!! 🙀 How awful!! I also do USPS pickup, but I do it right by my front door and I have the packages kind of hiding behind a column. If there is a more discrete place to put it, you can leave pick up instructions for your mail carrier when you schedule your pickup.
I had a great Christmas season in sales on ETSY. I started my shop in September and have almost 40 sales, I do wreaths and garland. Shipping was so bad. I had a girl who wanted to order from a small business, so she bought a garland off me on December 6th. I mailed it out December 7th and she did not get it until December 28th!!!! I felt so bad for her. I hope she will be able to use it next year. Hopefully the post office will hire big time next year in preparation. They could not have predicted the craziness.
Sounds like your shop is off to a great start! And yikes, that is a bummer. I had some very similar experiences in my shop. It’s so frustrating when you do everything you can to get it shipped out quickly and then it takes SO long to arrive 😩. Yes, hopefully the post office is more prepared next year.
Was the shipping SNAFU due to C19?

I'm feeling very frustrated with my new Etsy shop. In the last 30 days, I've only received 33 views on my listings. I started creating pins but haven't seen much traffic from that yet and I don't feel like Etsy is helping at all. Your video was informative and now I'm a little more hopeful my views will improve.
I’m so sorry you’re frustrated! Etsy is definitely a marathon, and it can definitely feel frustrating in the beginning when things are slow. Keep working at it and eventually you’ll get some traction.

There should be an option for you to add captions. They’re not perfect, but I always have that option turned on.
If you click the three dots on the upper right hand corner, there is an option to turn on captions. I hope that helps, and Happy New Year to you too! 😊
I have 2 Etsy shops and had 12 orders in the USPS for WEEKS and WEEKS over the holidays. One order took 44 Days, yes, 44. Days first class, from Wisconsin to Florida.
Yikes! Yeah it was frustrating! I thought all mine were finally delivered, but I still have one in transit that hasn’t been scanned in over a month. 🙈. That 44 days gives me hope that the package may still arrive, so thank you! Hopefully this year they get their act together 🤞🏼
With my 44 days Etsy delivery and all of the other overly delayed orders, I kept in regulara contact with each of the buyers via Etsy messaging. Everyone was very gracious and understood. As a result of the pandemic shipping lesson, I have changed my shop policy shipping information to include transit times vary greatly and estimated delivery times are never guaranteed and in transit times delay orders are not eligible for a refund (or something like that). Also, the woman who waited 44 days (and was so delightful as we exchanged messages), I just sent her a thank you gift and handwritten note. She has bought twice from me and it is customer service and personal touches that makes Etsy stand apart from others. We, as Etsy shop owners, are all ambassadors for Etsy.

I have 4 listings of table runners for St. Patrick's day. I would like to list some small silk flowers I have made. I have lots of different colors. Should I list one and then tell all the colors or should I list all individually?

Hi Dawn! Technically they can use the coupon over and over. Right now there’s no option that I know to make it a one time use only. That’s why I keep it at just a 10% off. However, most people assume they can only use it once, and don’t ever use it again. You can also just change up the coupon code every once in awhile. Cancel the old code and make a new one (just remember to update the email with the new coupon code). I hope that helps!
