VIDEO IDEA: To explore color theory together for eye makeup maybe take the color wheel and do like different combos with it? Like one day whatever is opposite, another a tertiary complementary color, then one that is next to it… I think that would be so interesting! Thanks for the video Sarah. Im trying panning for the first time and it’s so eye-opening.
Great tips! When I started panning, it was such a shock to learn that it takes me 9-10 months to use up a liquid foundation. Everyone else seemed to fly through them in 3-4 months! Now, I just accept that I use less foundation that them, and that's ok :)
You’re my favorite UA-camr for makeup and skincare because you teach me to think about products in a different way. I break apart and mix my products now to suit me better or use it differently.
I’m panning the NYX foundation as well - side note but I’m ALMOST done! Maybe 2-5 uses left - and I found that it doesn’t look as dry by the end of the day if I use a small amount and a thin layer. I’ll be glad to be done with it as it really ends up looking very dry on my forehead, mostly just above between my eyebrows.
I liked your tips, Sarah! I've been use your colour eyeliner application method (pop of color + eyeliner on the outside) to use my color eyeliner in Electric Blue, from Stila. It is helping me A LOT, thank you! I partially agree with your opinion on using to much of a product to used it up faster. I think that it is not really worth it with some products, like parfum or powder. However, with other, I think it is a good strategy to used a little bit more, just to have that extra push - even more when someone stash is huge. I frequently use primer all over my face instead of only on the pore zone - and that even improved the wearing of my make. I also apply 3 coats of polish, instead of two, when the color it not perfect, and I really dampen my face in setting spray when I think it is not doing much for me - usually, I use even to wet my sponge to REALLY speed up 🤣
I've been doing a project pan this year and I've been using so many of your tips! I also love setting usage goals and putting little tally marks in my notebook every day, I feel it gives me good insight into what I actually use and what I should make an effort of concentrating on. PS loved hearing the cats sped up at around 9:20 when you were applying the CG blush! So cute!!
Yea I mentionned that in my last project pan update, there was a product I was using too much of because I was trying to use it up but that ended up making me not use it at all because I only like thin layers 😅😅 so yea not doing that anymore but I like to apply such a small amount of base products that it is a challenge seeing big progress when panning. My liquid foundation might take me more than a year 😭😭
When I did a year long project last year I def noticed that I hyperfocused on the pp items and not so much anything else. This year I opted not to do one but I'm doing a small mainly usage based one during the spring season (called a spring cleaning pp) and its definitely working a little bit better. Also I know you're not a fan of purple eyeshadow, but it's my fave so I would opt to pair a yellow wing with a lilac inner corner 😂
You might eventually have to pour the end of the clove and hallow blush into a little jar when you can't get anymore of it with the applicator of it's liquidy enough and then you can just dip it into the jar.
I always skip my forehead because that part of my skin is dry and foundation always looks so bad there. I feel like the blend is really natural because I can still apply powder between my brows and bronzer to my temples. Plus I’m sure it helps that I prefer a light coverage foundation anyways.
Love this video idea! Omg I was glued to my screen when you were applying La Playa, the dip is looking good and I was like “omg what if she hits pan on camera” 😆
Every time I see you in yellow liner, I want to get a yellow liquid liner! I’m working on a project pan but I’m not sure it’s for me. I love seeing progress and finishing things, but because of that I tend to hyper focus on the things I’m working on.
Hiiiiii! I do something similar with my bh margarita (?- I don’t remember the name and I don’t have her here), the one that you have too and i love doing an inner corner highlight with the bright pink.

Because purple and yellow are complementary colors, I feel like a lavender inner corner would look amazing!
Thank you for showing us how you track your usage! 💛💛💛
I agree about colourful liner being so impactful and yet so simple.. these days I've been using colourful shadow as liner and it's been so much fun!

I'd love to see how the yellow liner looks with a purple shadow or any color from the mimosa palette!

Not a huge purple fan but I actually do like a soft lilac on myself!! I'll have to try that combo next!
