I don't see Poles giving up draft picks for a half a year rental. We are still a year away from completing this roster through the draft. Poles may make an addition but he won't go crazy.
Poles has done an amazing job of constructing the foundation of this roster. The only position that really makes sense to me, is someone like a Mike Williams or WR depth. You only give up draft capital in a mid season trade if you have massive hole in your roster/injury, or you’re making a Super Bowl push. DE is not as big as a concern as it was preseason, they have performed pretty good. AND you have a nice depth piece in Jacob Martin coming back. If anything we sell a couple pieces for some pick swaps or 7th rounders at most (Davis/borom/D Rob)
Thanks Swifty for this and for displaying some good reasoning - after listening to all the conjecture re Garrett and Crosby - it is good to see some thought go into this. As for trades - I do not see us acquiring anyone except for an obvious flyer for a real low draft choice. No need to chase players at this point. Maybe next year but we need one more good draft to proclaim ourselves title contenders. Keep the draft choices and spin off Davis, Robinson and Herbert for what ever you can get. We have a good spot in the next draft with the 2 second rounders. Stand pat.
If Teller is right, he would be a great addition and on the top of my list. The Bears should have the money with a rookie qb and a budget offensive line.
Jmo, and OG is a talented young kid, but at DE I think we are set for the year if it's Not Garrett or Crosby. Poles is pry willing to spend to add 1 of those 2. I think he either 1 doesn't like Reddick's cost or 2 his size. So at DE, I think 🤔 Poles is trying to go big or go home. Booker is a great young talent the whole Nfl is talking about. Walker looks good. And while I like an OG's talent, hard to spend a 6th and then another pick on a backup anything ya know.
I told Poles to not pull the trigger until I have heard from Swifty.. He probably won't make a trade but I just called him and gave him the okay to make a move now.
Swifty, I think most of the fan base is probably in the same boat of “GO BIG OR GO HOME”. For me that means get a Garrett, Crosby, or Teller…..OR…..keep the picks for a very good draft next year. I think “Going Big” has some very small chances. And the very last thing I wanna do is trade draft picks for mediocre or “good” players. We already have those without wasting resources.
I still think you shoot for Garret. His current cap hits are able to be absorbed and I think the Panthers WILL end up with a very high second round pick if not the 33rd pick. Id give that up and a future second, Herbert, Jones Jr and Davis. They might ask for first rounders, but they are in a desperate cap situation. They have too much tied up in Garrett, Watson and a few other players. Watson out, they genuinely are screwed. Interestingly enough, they didnt look good WITH Watson.
I think Venus Jones Jr will get traded. Obviously we’d rather him step up and miraculously become a contributor but his leash might be gone at this point in Chicago.
Lots of teams would be willing to “take a chance” on him with his natural born talent. I wish we would do more to develop him but pretty sure they’ve given up on him.
I think Caleb finds the his deep ball connection this game Rome gonna have another breakout game vs commanders and dj and they both become there daddy’s
We've known King Poles to be verry methodical mostly, so he likely is being patient on how this team comes together. Seriously, why play gambler when you've already showed your hand and won with the bets you've played? No need to try cashing in on rebuilding team. Let's play some Texas hold 'em until next year.
Chase Young for a conditional 4th rounder if we have one to give. Otherwise, we just need to stick with our current guys. Don’t mortgage the future unless there is a legitimate shot at a Super Bowl this season.
lol! I think Poles is going to keep his head and draft capital. He and his scouts are keeping their eyes on potential draft picks for the trenches on both sides of the ball. Be patient! Bear Down!!
Who TF makes up these Teams Calling for Dom Robinson Rumors every year?!?!? 😂😂😂 You know you're a liar!!! 😅 At this point it's gotta be a running joke. I don't think Poles makes any trades tbh, if he does I'm sure he would hand someone Nate's 12mil this year and next off the cap.
I say the Bears get no one. Every year teams feel the need to lead each other on a circle jerk. Only the serious or horrible teams make moves. Also the other teams are not owned by The McCaskeys.
Great job again Swifty! Such great content! I have a feeling Poles will have a quiet trade period for the 1st time. Bears are solid enough at all positions with 4 picks in the top 85 or so and don't have much cap space. Bears are a year away from making a deadline splash.
Stop being a buzz kill haha. If we're not trading for a upgrade like Myles, a guard or center. Then stack picks & let's contend next year but with myles 👀

Great stuff Swift setting an alarm ⏰. BearDown
I don’t imagine a trade happening until after the game Sunday but swift, great content man. Great points and great finds

Always can count on Swifty to keep it real and realistic. Fantasy is for a different place.
With Daniels 🐻21-17🪖. With Mariota 🐻 28-12 🪖. 🐻🔽🌐🍻

Walker Little was actually a 5 Star Recruit, maybe even No 1 on his class. Shows how far Stanford 🏈 has fallen
🐻⬇️💯‼️
What about the rumored Chubba Hubbard to the Bears? I think this trade would be a great 1-2 punch.
It would be nice to see Kiran play LT or guard first before looking for free agents to first see what we have

If anyone can call it - Swifty can. hes done it MANY times before.

insurance protection for our QB would be worth a couple bucks
Let Jones, Davis and Robinson go and hopefully they can

Don't piss away Draft pix , stay the course unless you can fleece em.
Anyone who takes Nate Davis will expect the Bears to eat the remainder of his salary this year.

Bear Down!!
I heard someone say the DT from the saints could be an option for the bears, your thoughts ?
Nvm i commented to soon
Leaving comment up for the algorithm
5th for Herbert?
Not looking. Just listening.

@knowledgeuntamed9177 bro that's why i didn't even mention him lol 😂 😆
Cowboys trade parsons to the Bears for a 4th rounder. Cause they are the cowboys😂
Beyond 30 , one should consider retireing and not coming to the BEARS. We will build though the draft. 🐻⬇

Let's pass on Chase Young ... he's got Yanick vibes

Poles certainly has a bunch of bums he signed to give away.
One thing is for sure - the Browns are a total dumpster fire.
Velus has straight line speed but zero football skills. He’s worthless and should be cut.
