- "special birthday memorial" for Steve Poss, an NYHC fixture who played in Cavity Creeps and Sheer Terror. He passed away at 53 years old in November 2020 after a battle with cancer.
Wonderful memorial for a great person and a member of the A7 early 80's NYHC scene. RIP Steven Poss.
Met Steve back in 99 through a friend of a friend. Spent a lot of hours on his couch on the upper east side just shooting the shit. Steve was a master of shooting the shit. We were like two human Googles, and it was great to find someone to riff off of who also just happened to be one of the biggest personalities in NYHC.. Hardcore and weed was what brought a midwest kid and Queens legend together.. It was something we had in common when we really had nothing else in common! Steve had a collection of memorabilia to die for. RIP Steve Poss, you were a one of a kind dude. I hope you put together some bands up there while you are at it so we can have a big ole pit in 100 years in heaven.
