Are you sticking with State Farm after this? I use them and I wouldn’t want to have to deal with this if there’s a better company out there. Curious to hear if you find a better company, I live close to you I think so even if it’s local I might be able to use them
You can file a complaint with the State Dept of Ins, and you always have the right to go to appraisal if the value is disputed. Most states have guidelines on the methodology used for valuing cars(including what is required for comps) and CCC or whomever State Farm uses adheres to that methodology, making sure they have your options correct is critical and aligning on condition is critical. Comp options should be listed on the valuation sheet, and if you dispute the accuracy, you could always check the Monroney label or ask them to do so. Comps are also based on the asking the price, not the take price so there is a cushion, especially now that the market is correcting. They should also always be willing to pay the undisputed amount of the claim minus the estimate for salvage value(proquote) even when there is a dispute.
@@LTG1930 CCC is such a scam. They deducted value from my car because it was dirty sitting in a wrecker's yard and not freshly detailed and ready for sale. Yah. Maybe because it was just in an accident and I don't have access to it. I had a MT which every single listing was thousands more, refused to use those comps and then deducted money for not having the auto 'option'. They made gross assumptions about comp listings conditions, sight unseen, and that I was a mater negotiator and would be able to talk town the rock bottom price. I did file a complain with the state dept of insurance and they did nothing. Basically said they don't get involved in value discussions. If you don't have extra cars they're just hoping to stall you until you cave. In the future I'll probably just be referring total losses to a lawyer or specialist. I'd rather lose money paying them than giving into the insurance company trying to strong arm me.

Sorry that you and your wife are going through all that. We bought a used Denali XL a little over a year ago. Single owner, good maintenance, low miles, every option except the ultimate edition. Was one generation old, but was half the price of new. We love it. Can comfortably sit 7 adults and all their bags in the back. I saw you’re looking for a third row. Would highly recommend it.

It's such a shame really Soooo what wifey needs now is an Escalade V 🤪🤪🤪 jk jk I know those are a small fortune, BUUUUTTT it would be sick! What you should look into is a nice Lexus LX570 or GX460!!! My friend's mom has one and it's a great SUV! I'm a bit of a Toyota/Lexus nerd though and that's all I really enjoy owning lol! My mom always had crappy cars her entire life, and when I was in the position to get her something nice, I did! I got her a 2014 4Runner Limited with 99k miles on it for $20k. I believe it has around 160k miles now, and other than an oil leak that just recently developed in the last couple of months she's only had to do regular maintenance to it! Such a blessing to be able to do that for her, and a big relief off of not only my brother and I's shoulders (as we were the ones to have to fix her clunkers and rescue her), but also a big relief from my mom's shoulders knowing she has a safe and reliable car to get her around and take trips in! Oh, and it also helps that 4 or 5 years later it's still worth $18-20k with 160k miles on it 😅
I had State Farm for like 2 or 3 years. Every year they had a rate increase that was supposedly “nationwide” with every insurance company. My last straw was that they sent another one of those emails saying it was increasing again, but this time, my monthly payment was going to be $100 more a month when I’ve never made a claim with them besides a roadside repair
It is sad. I hate driving mine to the grocery store for food. I took it out one night to go pick up pizza, came out and there was some person snooping around the car. Could have been an innocent person just wanting to look at it but non the less, its always something in the back of my mind...walking out and seeing an empty spot where my Hellcat was with broken glass on the ground.
SRT badging has steel me all over it. Sorry that it happened to you, but I live in the suburbs and I knew that from listening to the news. And keep in mind, gap insurance for your next purchase. It pays what the insurance company won’t pay. Ask me how I know. 😀
I won’t shop Dodge because of their reputation for security (or lack thereof). Don’t care if it’s the fastest most bestest car if I can’t sleep at night for fear of someone stealing it. I put them in the same boat as Hyundai and Kia, but the car is actually worth something. Insurance sucks in general. Sorry to hear this is happening to you!
Unfortunately it’s not just dodge anymore. Pretty much anything that’s push to start they can steal within minutes. My buddy just had his nicely modified Chevy SS stolen. They found it gutted dumped on the site of the road😢

Had similar thing happen to my 21 SRT Durango. Get her a used BMW X3-X6 whichever you like best and it'll be the best move you ever made and you can get one for a very nice price. Good luck sorry this happened to you
I’m so sorry for you to have to go through this. The worse feeling is to have to watch your wife go through this. My work truck was stolen recently. I got it back and felt truly violated. I had to pay extra to have it detailed, so i could feel comfortable again. Yes, we are fortunate to have other cars, but, it does suck😡

To make it worse they are going to increase you premiums. My Jeep SRT was stolen on Valentines Day. Police found a week later. After I let them have it because of the theft title, them swapping the gauge cluster which cut the miles in half and my 22 inch rims gone. Progressive damn near tripled my 6 month premium for 600 to 1500. Like it was my fault my truck was stolen.

sadly we’re in a time where owning any performance MOPAR vehicle is sadly just not a good idea. they’re such cool vehicles but they’ve become the thief’s personal favorites. it’s so sad. if you want a great insurance that will never give you any problems switch to Farm Bureau they’re really good. i work for a luxury collision center and they never give us any problems or ask twice.
That is 100% true. This was just a speed bump for us! But I think this kind of scenario can be devastating to families who don't have multiple vehicles.

First, the theives steal it, then the police and impound yard ravage it (most of the time) then the insurance company tries to steal from you again! It's literally why we can't have nice things!
That happen to me once on a market value policy on a classic sports car and they kept low balling the offer way under insured value. I just asked they go get another one and if my car club president stated it was the same I would accept it. 2 weeks later I had the full amount of cash it was insured for in my hand. Unfortunately the security systems of all cars are ineffective but Mopar has recently been targeted by thieves and young people. There is not one car that is safe.
I'm in the Atlanta metro area, and I'm surprised that someone didn't warn you about SRT Pookies or Chads that might steal your SRT Durango. It sucks getting your stuff stolen, you usually lose value and time in the process. Also, a month seems way too long to complete a claim for a theft vehicle, that's not even including any repairs they would have done!
We knew it was a theft risk but figured it wouldn’t happen to us. This has been a recurring theme in my life lately! Long story about the claim, we had to fight them on valuation and the fact that it was recovered after they had deemed it a total loss reset the process.
I have state farm. car had some issues needed to be towed etc while i was tryin to pick it up and drive it back from texas after the shop. I had to pay for the tow outta pocket and they were supposed to gib money back. they fought me every step of the way, filed a claim when all i asked the lady was is if i had one or not given the strange situation with the drive shaft falling out due to how texas roads are and coming back to my area from texas you HAVE to go that route. it was all bad. the only reason i didnt drop them is bc they put the claim on my record and it made my insurance should i leave to go to progressive basically double for no reason. When i can get a normal priced policy you bet your butt im ditching state farm. oh and my rep is a complete momo who passes all her work off to an assistant...

These people don't care what kind of emotional toll it takes on a person. They are only out to make quick money. I only mentioned the possibility of keeping it for a couple of reasons, 1, if your wife really loved the vehicle, there are ways to provide security for it so it doesn't happen again, though nothing will stop someone from stealing something if they want it and 2, it would make a great content vehicle. If you were to go though the damage they did, show it and then make vids on how you plan to fix it. I would certainly watch it.

Even if you had the coverage to cover the complete loss of the vehicle it doesn’t cover the physiological or personal toll that comes with the violation of the crime.
Took my Hellcat Challenger to Charlotte on business once and almost got car jacked…only because it was a manual saved it. Traded for a Corvette…Mopars are too high profile
Personally, in my opinion. These vehicles need to have keys to them. I know it’s such an inconvenience to carry a key over a fob. But honestly, we all pay the price in the end high end insurance rates. It’s BS that a car can be stolen that easily. Who cares about the tech if they could steal it faster then you can blink your eye.
We have a serious problem in this country, more so here in Florida, with auto insurance. Specifically in Florida we have an untenable spread in coverage between the responsible and irresponsible driver. Specifically, the irresponsible have the minimum coverages: $10/10k. The responsible have at least $100k/$250k. So when my wife was recently rear ended on 95S, and the repair for her electric Audi was over $10k, it triggered my under-insured coverage and therefore my deductible. Furthermore, any loss in value from the accident, which they call a diminution claim, is not possible. So I am out my deductible and my wife's car now has a clouded title according to carfax. The insured in this case walks away (unless I want to pursue action and waste time trying to squeeze blood out of a rock). Something has to change. In your instance, gap coverage may have helped, but it still doesn't fix the issue: you are purchasing peace of mind, and you get none.
I got rear ended here in Florida and pushed into a truck in front of me, the truck ran away, and the guy that hit me had no insurance. So I got nothing from it and had to pay hospital bills out of pocket. The guy with no insurance got a ticket and that was it..
Been with State farm since I was 18 and now I'm 53 and they have always took care of me good since Biden been in office my insurance has gone up over 75% just for the lowest coverage just to have to drive on the road, and it's all because of the borders and Joe Biden this has to stop,so in November November every one knows what you got to do if you want our country back!!! The transverse 3.5L has a DUMB water pump design. WHEN it fails or needs servicing, it's an engine out job. If it fails, it can dump coolant into your oiling system. Taurus' were the same way too.

So when my wife was recently rear ended on 95S, and the repair for her electric Audi was over $10k, it triggered my under-insured coverage and therefore my deductible. Furthermore, any loss in value from the accident, which they call a diminution claim, is not possible. So I am out my deductible and my wife's car now has a clouded title according to carfax. The insured in this case walks away (unless I want to pursue action and waste time trying to squeeze blood out of a rock). Something has to change. In your instance, gap coverage may have helped, but it still doesn't fix the issue: you are purchasing peace of mind, and you get none.

I got rear ended here in Florida and pushed into a truck in front of me, the truck ran away, and the guy that hit me had no insurance. So I got nothing from it and had to pay hospital bills out of pocket. The guy with no insurance got a ticket and that was it..
Sad... I have State Farm and every time they hit me with a price increase I say that i"m paying the Jared tax.
Been with State farm since I was 18 and now I'm 53 and they have always took care of me good since Biden been in office my insurance has gone up over 75% just for the lowest coverage just to have to drive on the road, and it's all because of the borders and Joe Biden this has to stop,so in November November every one knows what you got to do if you want our country back!!! We test drove an ST when we were shopping the Durango. Third row wasn't up to snuff for our needs (three kids).
The transverse 3.5L has a DUMB water pump design. WHEN it fails or needs servicing, it's an engine out job. If it fails, it can dump coolant into your oiling system. Taurus' were the same way too.
