Snakes are such beautiful and innocent creatures, I had a little baby rat snake no more than 5 inches found today in my garage and my dad and bestfriend both were trying to and wanting to kill it. Such a shame. So many snakes get killed every year because people mistake them for being venomous. I safely removed the little guy and placed him off in the woods.
This put out such a safe and positive vibe for venomous snakes and snakes in general. Thank you for making this video it is hard to find people that truly appreciate the good things in snakes these days.
Welllll.... actually..... there are poisonous snakes, but its not typical at all, and hes right that a lot of people uninformed call venomous snakes poisonous, in which case hes totally correct and generalizing is the better option, but just sayin.
If the snakes head is triangular doesn't always mean the snakes are venomous cause some non-venomous snakes with flatten their head to look triangular to scare off predators and the slit eyes depend on the lighting if it was night the eyes would round but if it was day then they would be slits

Please don't go around killing snakes. It's so unfortunate when someone dies while trying to kill the snake. After all that is when over 50% of deaths occur. And if you're going to shoot a snake. Why shoot something that could easily be avoided? And if you're going to kill a non-venomous/mildly-venomous species. Why kill something that can't kill or cripple you or your family? Thankfully over hear in Australia (in particular Queensland, NSW and south Australia.) it's illegal to go around killing all of our native wildlife and can warrant you a decent fine of around $10,000 and sometimes a 6 month jail sentence. Not to mention the animal cruelty laws that could dramatically increase the fine and the jail sentence. Snakes also do serve a purpose in the ecosystem. Without snakes rodent populations would dramatically increase allowing viruses to rapidly spread. Also if you alter the ecosystem many of your favourite animals would go extinct and it could easily effect us humans. Another reason you shouldn't go around killing snakes is because some of the enzymes in certain types of snake venoms can be used for medical treatment, for example tiger snake venom causes blood to clot and Scientist have been trying to isolate that part of the venom to thin blood and prevent blood clots. This also goes for all venomous animals. Some great examples are funnel web spider, blue ringed octopus, several rattlesnake species, red backed spider, and so many more. And no, that venom can't just come from a dead snake. The rotting snake would contaminate the venom.

I look for snakes all the time and never find any. They found 2 in just a few minutes. Planted? He obviously brought that alibimo corn snake with him.
There actually is a couple of species of poisonous snakes the tiger keelback being one of them Venom is for prey poison is for predators
