Thanks, Andrew, this was quite helpful. I have a sample of a Packola mailer-style box on order now (you can order as little as 1 and it is expedited). So far all I can add is that their customer service rep went above and beyond to help me out. Very knowledgeable of their product and system. I talked to UPrinting as well and that was a disaster.
Thanks Andrew for sharing it. It is funny. I contacted multiple printing company, and my two choices are packlane and Packola. And here I found your video. The prices are almost the same. Packlane quote me 1.89 ($567)per custom box (outside print only) , Packola quoted me 1.63 (#549), shipping and taxes no included. Dimensions L8.125, W 6.625, DEPTH 2''(IN INCHES). I asked packlane if it will be cheaper if I order 1000, and it went down to 1.56 per box. ( more you order , cheaper it is) you can get boxes cheaper in China, even shipping is very high, but I decided order from USA cause it is a long wait, AND YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU WILL GET. And they want you pay for all the boxes before send the example. Here in USA, you pay for a sample and they send you without commitment. And MY EXPERIENCE WAS WAY BETTER IN USA, MORE PROFESSIONAL
Hi, I operate a packaging firm in China and, if possible, can you give me more detail about your experience with Chinese vendors? I'd loved to see what I can improve to better serve my customer overseas.
Thank you for this review! I ordered some kraft mailers from BrandableBox and was not terribly impressed with their quality. I'm planning on trying Packlane after watching this.
I recently (July 2022) used BoxGenie for small boxes I use to ship handcrafted soaps. The ink smell was/is awful. So bad in fact, that I can't use them to ship my soaps. I've was told by the company to "let them air out". If these boxes ever air out, I'll be very surprised. So -- my advice... if you're looking to have a box printed with a solid base color, consider that the boxes may smell pretty bad. Depending on what you are putting in the box, you may want to think twice.
The quality of your standard white print boxes from Packlane look ALOT better than what I received. Mine were black and the texture looked like a tacky spray-painted cardboard. Yours look great and professional. I wonder if that is actually the higher quality ink that costs more. Trying to make decisions on what quality to use.
I have potentially the dumbest question ever - do you put the shipping label directly on that box? Or do you have to package that box AGAIN in a USPS/FEDEX/whatever box? I am so painfully inept at shipping and handling haha! Thank you :)
i did my design on canva and fixed the box up on packola and they reviewed it and emailed me that my DPI should be at least be 300 i had to get a refund bc they wouldn't print clear enough, any beginner tips? I do everything on canva for my business ...helpppp
I ended up ordering from Packlane. The reason was cause I got a coupon that saved me $56.70 and shipping cost was cheaper and as result I paid less on tax for the purchase. Box info: 300 custom boxes. dimensions L8.125, w 6.625, depth 2(in inches)(outside print only) PACKOLA quoted me. 1.83 *300 =$549 + shipping and handling $73.88 + tax 46.72= 669.60 (no coupon) PACKLANE quoted me. 1.89 *300=$567-56.70 (coupon promotion) = 535.00 +shipping and handling 24.95+ tax38.28=573.53 . I ENDED UP SAVING $ 96 DOLLAR. I did not order sample box cause I did not want to wait for it , also it is $70 dollar for a sample. I preferred put that money toward my final order.
Can't know how I bumped onto this. Anyway Awesome video 🙌🙌. I also have been watching those similar from MStarTutorials and kinda wonder how you guys make these vids. MStar Tutorials also had amazing information about similiar things on his channel.

Crazy helpful and so profesionally analyzed with all the pros and cons of the two companies! Really appreciate the in-depth, honest review! Thanks!
Great vid and exactly the info I was looking for!
May I ask if this is a satin finish or matte ?
What kind of finish did you get on your boxes?

Great video! I’ve used Boxup before but they don’t seem to do a custom box size. Thanks for showing me these options!
Very helpful! Thank you!

what about the smell? since you chose a color on the box, did it ever smell weird?
I just received an order from BoxGenie - smell is so bad the boxes are unusable at this point. I hope the smell goes away. If not, I'm out some cash.
Super helpful. Thank you.
So they do plastic bags as well, or just boxes
thank you for this video!
Which box at packlane did you use? Standard or HD boxes?
I just used the standard box.
@@andrewtaylor7705 wow that looked really good for a standard box I was gonna go HD
Great Video 👌🏾

How did it end up
