Something that someone said last night really hit me. The short of it was that when we encounter God we aren't expected to try and hold on to the feeling, but should be holding on to God. It made me think of how many times I've chased the feeling of God's presence and how frustrated I've felt at times where that feeling is nowhere to be found and I feel abandoned. I wasn't trying to hold onto God's character just how good I could possibly feel. It's a small shift but a huge one as well. Our study is actually on the Sermon on the Mount, and we started with the beatitudes. I think what you've shared is a good example of what it means to actually be engaged in the activities God is concerned about. Those things you are putting your hand to are blessed. Not because of earthly understanding of blessings but God's stamp of approval for the things that are important to Him. Idk, it's 3 a.m. here so maybe I'm making no sense but thank you for sharing.
Jen the reflection is real. Gods grace and mercy is way more than we all deserve. I know I am blessed by all of this. Such a normal podcast. Just some real women speaking normal. This is very refreshing.
This is such a beautiful video - lots of insights, lot of bible study prompts/verses and lots of areas I can relate in. Jordy you are doing an amazing thing and Im so inspired by what you guys are discussing and it is no doubt, drawing me closer to God, my Father in Heaven. Surrendering to the Lord is one of the most difficult things but there is beauty in it when as you say, you see the lives of those persons who are impacted. We also find alot of peace even in sadness or anger. A big thing I learned recently is that we should try to keep that eternal mindset, so even though our lives in the Lord on “this side of eternity” isnt always great, we will experience and live in his perfect kingdom after this life. ❤ Thanks for this.
Stephanie Ike once said on a podcast this isn’t verbatim but in a nutshell she said that not all followers of Jesus Christ is meant to be millionaires or really well to do. Some of the disciples who Jesus Christ were martyrs. Not all of us who come here are meant to have money. But what you are doing through your obedience is far greater than having money. God will always provide. The word says obedience is better than sacrifice. That you for being so transparent. Your letter touched me in more ways than you will ever know. It’s kinda like God why me” but on the other hand ima always say “why not me” we were made for this battle. Imagine how many souls youre bringing to Christ while may not having everything you desire. The rich man bringing none or a superficial soul who reverts back to their old ways because serving God isn’t always easy but it’s worth it. Keep giving the real you God see you and please know he will never forget you. I get way more from you and Jen than I’ve ever gotten from the fancy podcasters. That’s why I never follow them. I legit keep scrolling because it’s just another fake show.
Hey Jordan. I’m here to tell you that there is a God in heaven. It doesn’t matter how dry things look, one day you’ll show this video to your kids and you’ll be so glad that you have waited on God. One day you will forget to "only be strong" . There is no way that you’ll only sow seed and not harvest, it’s written, weeping May endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. I speak peace upon your life. I prophesy that by this time next year you will know your husband. The eight years wait was all God wanted for your purification and preparation . Please mark this words somewhere. It’s a receipt. Continue Gods’s work and do not complain. By this time next year!! 1King 18: 36-38
God put you on my heart. He sees your tears, every time you cry in the mirror and cry yourself to sleep, Nothing is hidden to God. You serve a God of restoration. He will compensate and make up for all the years that the locust had stolen from you. A thousand years to God is like one year. Nothing you did or do is in vain. I’m not saying all these things to make you happy. It’s an Isaiah 60 situation. Job 37: 5 Pray about everything that I have told you and don’t laugh like how Sarah Abraham‘s wife did when the Angel appeared to her. Just saying 😊 God bless you.
