Bani Isra'eel (descendents of Yaqub alayhi salam) that accepted the Anbiyah at the time of Eesaa alayhi salam right up to the twelve children of Yaqub Alayhi Salam are all muslimeen. But, anyone from Ahlul Kitaab today who doesn't accept the Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم are not Muslims. Just like the Messenger said even if my brother Musa was alive he would have no other choice but follow me (ie. the Qur'aan and my authentic Sunnah).

I agree and disagree with you, at speakers corner people ask a surface level question, you agree or disagree to it and then they hold on to it with dear life even though you may have meant or understood something completely different. I think he's treading carefully because yes, he doesn't want to be caught out but also because he doesn't want to lie or be insincere.

Wallahi this guy is waffling so much. He is wasn’t interested in speaking about the core belief in Allah. He had an agenda and an excuse to get out of that conversation yet he had so much energy for his attempt to discredit and argue with one ayah. He wasn’t attempting to understand. His heart wasn’t open. Listening to him stressed me out SubhanAllah. Brother Shamsi has a lot of patience Allahuma Bariik 😭 Why is it so difficult to understand that God is perfect? Why is that conversation so philosophical? He was avoiding things because he doesn’t have an explanation for his core beliefs. Shamsi's knowledge is very strong, but when it comes to political and economic issues within the Islamic context in modern day society he is not quite as strong. He continually refers to countries and governments of these countries as if they are legitimate. He should distinguish between Islamic ideas of nations versus the kafir version of nation states.
He doesn't need to have strong knowledge on politics and economics. He has knowledge of his religion and other religion and that suffices in calling people to the truth.

The guy is actually discrediting what Jesus Christ himself gave as the top priority subject even as per the guy's Bible.
According to Jesus Christ there is NO commandment greater than the first commandment. The first commandment deals with the subject of God. The Christian is not even respecting the priority given by Jesus Christ himself.
Simply put: That Christian is not sincere. If I can recall correctly this guy has been to the park before and engaged with Muslims before and he's just full of gymnastics and evasions.
