I love this song so much, can't believe the original is 23 years old! And i still love it and it gets me dancing.
This version is more dramatic lyrically..
The original is more like a classic dance floor filler...this one has a slower dance vibe..more like a perfect loud blasted car song with the windows wound down!
And it really expresses the meaning of the lyrics so much more than the original. In fact I feel like i just "heard" this song...like really HEARD the story of the song for the first ever time! Which is mad because I have played the original for all these years and loved the music and beat... whereas this one told me the story.

This was beautiful, lovely lovely voices, so rich and full of emotion and the two voices together was absolute perfection! Simply gorgeous harmonies and such intuitive storytelling.
I sound like I'm reviewing a piece of classical music lololol ...BUT, this was so beautiful it really spoke to me in a way i didn't appreciate the lyrics for all this time until now.
Honestly i feel quite emotional from it. ...like it was meant to find me organically and tell me something I needed to hear!
Sorry for waffling on about it, I'm just feeling a bit spooked by how much this spoke to me and how i happened to just stumble across it not even knowing there was a new recorded version out there!
