I’ve been fighting for a diagnosis for the last year with a new endocrinologist. She keeps telling me to lose weight, eat less carbs, see a nutritionist. Which I’ve done. Along with taking weight loss injections. I haven’t lost any weight. It took me seeing a neurologist for migraines to do an MRI and that neurologist to have me see an ENT for sinus cysts, for that ENT to say hey you have something on your pituitary gland that needs to be addressed. This just happened Friday. I left crying more out of relief because I felt that my feelings were validated and these issues weren’t all in my head. Now I’m in the process of getting a new endocrinologist to have the tumor removed. Don’t give up getting answers if your gut is telling you something is wrong!

So happy for u, my son has been suffering, since age 10, he is now 21, Rage, anxiety, depression, mood swings that resembles bipolar, he has seen over 20 drs, diagnosis or should I say misdiagnosis over & over, I had to quit my job, to try tc of him , then recently he came to me crying asking why he couldn't grow a beard & other concerns, i had him do a testosterone test ,got the results today, his testosterone is lower than the norm by over 100 pts, I immediately contacted one of his Drs who indicated that we must find an endocrinologist asap, and I then found this VIDEO, I haven't told him anything yet ,I feel overjoyed but scared, hoping this is not a dream,I have to pinch myself, I hope I find a good endocrinologist, spent out my life savings trying to get him help, ty 4 sharing ur story, God Bless u .

I had a prolactin secreting tumor and I was a psychological mess, I had gained a ton of weight but thanks to the doctors at the University of Virginia, they removed the tumor. I lost the weight and regained my memory and did so much better. a few years ago I started having headaches again and They found a tumor on the left side of my pituitary, this time however they used a gamma knife, it was a lot similar than having your face peeled back like the first surgery I had.

Doctors are seriously evil and negligent. I have had ALL of these symptoms for more than ten years. Yet because my tumor is a benign MICROadenoma they wont remove it,diagnose me with Cushing's Disease even though my bmi is over 35. My bmi used to be higher. Then I received bariatric surgery, but still am technically"obese". I have had many blood tests with cortisol higher than normal by two points. Yet No neurologist referral,Cushing's diagnosis, more future testing. I am allergic to cadmium and thimerisol so getting an MRI to "monitor" the tumor is out of the question. I have very little if no libido, severe migraines especially right before my periods which are at times an absolute nightmare.

Lana Howard your not going to believe this, I had my MRI here in Australia yesterday and they Had to go ahead and do it without contrast dye because they couldn't find a vein to insert the IV!!! I have notoriously difficult veins and I purposely didn't drink much of anything so I wouldn't be busting for a wee stuck in that machine lol! They went ahead with the MRI anyway cos they said they got good clear images cos I was so still. But with pituitary stuff they really wished they could have had the dye. I get my results tomorrow. So I guess I'll find out if I have to do it again or not! Isn't that ironic!? Anyway all the best to you :)

I have had a pituitary adenoma of which I was required to undergo for rain surgeries. Those did save my life. However, I have had depression, anxiety, irritability, etc. etc. for many years, and I have to find it every single day. I see a psychiatrist, a psychotherapist, and I take plenty of medication’s for it. It’s what keeps me alive. I also have a very strong faith in God and a great family. I do go to church, and that is definitely helping me. However, sometimes I don’t know if I want to cry, scream, or if I’m overly happy. I can’t work because of this thing so I do get benefits from the government. That has been a lifesaver. Even though this is not a malignant tumor, it can still cause hell in one’s life. There have been days where I have had so much anxiety that I can’t function. Like I said earlier, I have to fight through this every single day. I know what you guys are going through. This tumor has also caused a lot of other medical issues. Luckily, most of the tumor was removed through surgery but I still have remnants left. I have to go for an MRI tomorrow morning. I am a little bit apprehensive about that so we’ll see how it goes. I love y’all! Take it one day at a time.

    I have a pituitary tumor
    I was diagnose at 8
my 1st Doctor wanted to operate but once they stared to discuss the risk
    and possible blindness
my father backed out and got a second opinion
my mother was all for it because she knew the pain I was going through and the erratic behavior.
my father wasn't really around but still had equal rights to me so the doctors didn't operate
well , 11 years later I'm lashing out more acne worse
    weight gain.
low sex drive and most scary of it all
I'm getting more violent towards my family and harmful to myself.
And when I'm angry I told my girlfriend
to "get away just run if you have or
even call the cops just plz get away.
because I don't recognize myself when I'm angry just go
    somewhere safe"
Knowing her she will try to stay by my side and reason
    But there no reasoning.
    With this hurricane of anger.
This tumor is the worst thing that ruin my life since a young age
    and only making it worst
And the anxiety it bring on top of the depression
trust me the list goes on
I have no Medicare or insurance hard times for me to get help.
I'm Grown now and I'm pushed into the world at 19 with this monster hunting me.

I remember being bullied at 8 years because I started developing into a young woman before everyone else, they started calling me a nasty name and the boys in my grade must have been told too. It was horrible. Never though growing up would be that pailful, then having to be teased for my acne a few years later, then going through severe depression etc. Now I'm on a cocktail of meds just to make me feel happy each day. Now I feel I may have crushings disease as I have had many of the symptoms for years but suddenly in the last month i have had some more come up. I never get hungry and have struggled to actually eat food and in the last 2 weeks am constantly hungry every couple hours especially at night. Mine is only a small tumour and my old endo has told me nothing has changed but things don't feel right to me, I'm seeking another opinion but have to wait 6 weeks. I hope they can fine something, I'm in pain from headaches and muscles, I'm tired all the time I could nap every day i just want to be a normal young woman even if just for a few years.

Now my doctor told me to not take it anymore but I’m concerned because the tumor is still there and I feel like my anxiety is getting really bad, Plus I have mood swing I can’t concentrate is like I’m losing my mind 😭 and the sad thing is that my doctor told me that pituitary tumors have nothing to do with anxiety or depression 😞 please if someone is going through the same as me please tell me. I only took medication for it for a few months which regulated my prolactin and now I've had consistent period cycles for years without medication. But I've been facing mood irregularities since i was an early teen and recently was given medication to treat bipolar disorder. I do have family history with it, my grandmother. Her sister with depression. I'm trying to now understand if it's really a mood disorder or my pituitary tumor. It's very confusing and seems like a hopeless journey to figure out..

I haven’t been officially diagnosed bc I don’t wanna do an MRI with contrast. The thing is that it’s crazy all the symptoms that ppl mention. But I literally don’t have any ! other than my missed periods. I don’t have depression, no headaches, only one person gets me angry lol (but he gets everyone angry so that’s not just me). My wife has a childhood third ventricle tumor since about 7yrs old. Now 41, migraines, body and spine/neck pain, sometimes knife in temple pain, very anxious type, stays away from people like a wild rabbit. Very distrusting. Night terrors, yet goes right back to sleep not remebering them.

Thankyou for this video. Any Pituitary disease/Adrenal Glands. I was wasting away to 89 pounds until they finally diagnosed me with Hypopituitarism and Pologlandular Addisons. The mood swings cannot be blamed on mental when it's physical. Take Care everyone who has this and similar. I've been on 30mgs of Cortef for 17 years now..I'm 45 years old and the cortisteriods are life saving, but cause alot of side effects and damage. Stress....

The left side of my body went numb back in October suffering from Long Covid come to find out in the ER getting an MRI they saw something odd about my pituitary gland and had me see my PCP who sent out another MRI Stat! Then I was told the other day one side of my Pituitary Gland is bigger than the other and I have consultation with a Neurosurgeon on the 13th of December.
