- Tasmin sings her number 1 chart hit song, from her 1992 debut album "Great Expectations", on a temporary stage in Glastonbury, and a lovely voice she has too!
The performance was broadcast worldwide on the internet by Glastonbury Radio.net and finishes with Ross Hemsworth, Ex- MD of the station, giving a brief talk and Tasmin saying a few words to me. I hope she didn't mind my mispronouncing her name, calling her "Tamsin!"
I didn't get the name of the excellent guitarist, but he has been with Tasmin for years; apologies.
This concert was rather poorly attended, so I hope this redresses the balance a bit.
**The final shots of this video show Tasmin looking at a painting being created by Paul the Painter, who died suddenly in March 2011. RIP Paul.

She is such an underestimated artist because she doesnt sound stereotypically black, doesn't scream like Whitney Houston and doesn't have Beyonce's legs and doesnt sing about being a woman and men and sex and bills bills bills. It is a shame. Thanks for posting this.

A truly great song and a standout in the middle of some very, very barren years in music. Always thought Tasmin Archer would make a comeback in some way because she is a real talent - the business is poorer without her.

Aside from her singing skills, can we please appreciate the songwriting? The lyrics are masterfully crafted, for example how the rhyming scheme in the first and second verse mirror and complement each other so well. So much great wordsmithing here. It's poetic without becoming obfuscated word salad lyrics.

I know that time elapses but I guess she lost some power in her voice more than expected. Back on 90's she was already singing one tune down from the original (yes, I know that in studio things are different..). Anyway this is a great song, so much underated.
Eh? She sounds the same. Although, in her other albums, her voice doesn’t really sound like anything like the first album this song was featured
