T James Yes she did. One of my favorites with her was when she went to see Val after the twins were born (not realizing at that point they were supposedly dead), and asked the receiving area what room Val was in, and the lady told here the twins didn't make it before she gave her the room number. Lilimae takes off running down the hall screaming for Val. Remarkably acted...... Did she ever win an emmy for the role? She and Joan and Michelle should have won many times over.
@@notthefather3919 I never thought about that but it makes sense. Though I don’t think Lucy ever stayed settled down long enough to start a family anyway, did she? I wasn’t really watching either show in the later seasons (late 80s/early 90s) so I lost track. I don’t even think Lucy ever visited her new twin siblings which seems unrealistic, but keeping the two shows consistent with each other didn’t seem like a big priority until it was time to do the rare crossover episode.
+campgalore Yes there were a lot of missed oportunities on Knots Landing like that and when Val was having that cancer crisis, Ellie and Lucy should have made a crossover to help out.
Ugh, I still enjoy these classics. I started late, began @ season 12ish, but Abby/Donna Mills was always the best shit stirer beyotch! I mean, they had to bring in Linda, Anne, and Claudia to fill the void Abby left. And I enjoyed all three, but Abby is always the queen. 😉
I think the beauty of KNOTS (over say DALLAS, FC, and DYNASTY) was that there was just so much more gut wrenching emotions that came out of their stories. The other shows basically just had a bunch of back stabbing or trying to take over someone's business.
Loved Knots Landing still to this day it would have been grest if they had added Lucy to the show unfortunately according to Charlene Tilton they didn't want to pay her the money she was asking for so they left that storyline in Knots no.pun attended Lol
They could have at east CALLED Lucy! It could have been a great quick crossover, but I guess that TPTB didn't want any more crossovers between the shows.
Abby wasn't evil, she was an opportunist. She took advantage of a situation in any way it could benefit her.... her glitch she didnt give much of a shit if it hurt anyone, but she rarely set out to hurt people as the sole reason. Alexis did that, JR on occasion, but Abby merely plotted when it benefitted her.
@@robertscott8344 No I mean how she questioned Abby’s motives in this scene doesn’t qualify as “going off,” and in other episodes she could get much more irate and emotional.
No. Donna Mills was upset with the original plotline that had Abby organize the abduction of Val's babies. Donna told the producers that Abby was wicked but not that wicked. The producers changed the plotline so Abby's lawyer did the deed without her consent.
Yea, it was a weak solution - but they didn't want to go back and rethink the reasons for the story to begin with, so once the show switched villains on the fly, the details never made much sense afterward.
Rob Thompson she looked best with long straight hair when she worked at the Summer Group and helped Greg take back Meg from the MacKenzies. "She hit you?"
Julie Harris always gave her best performances in every scene she was in.

Lucy should have been added to KL. Made no sense why she stayed on DALLAS.
SAL Paradise I agree, she would have fit better on this show and could have had more storylines and purpose
The producers wanted to keep Valene and Gary “younger” in the eyes of the audience hence Lucy stayed in Dallas.
@@EastSide-qc5oy is that why Lucy never had kids? So Gary and Val wouldn't be grandparents?

@@notthefather3919 I've just thought about that from your comment All of the men Lucy dated and not one time she was ever expecting a baby.
She didn't really go off on Abby, just asked her why she wanted to help.
Its a shame the writers never had Lillie Mae and Lucy meet. I am sure Lillie Mae would have wanted to get to know her granddaughter.
campgalore Exactly - and can you imagine how good the scenes would have been if they'd also included Miss Ellie (Barbara Bel Geddes)?
+campgalore Yes there were a lot of missed oportunities on Knots Landing like that and when Val was having that cancer crisis, Ellie and Lucy should have made a crossover to help out.
+Robert Sharp In 1984-85 Donna Reed was playing Ellie.
@@rhsharp Amazing! Miss Ellie and Lillie Mae meeting would have been incredible. Bizarre she never visited Val considering she bought them the house!

Knots Landing 1978 - 1993 344 Episode's Dramatic Drama CBS network 1 hour TV Thursday nights 10:00pm created by David Jacobs .The best show ever.
Val lost her mind came up missing

lots of posing to deliver lines in the other shows
The sincerest Abby ever was right here. I wish Warner would finally break down and release this on DVD. Or at least Streaming!!!
I love Knots Landing still . Leandro Roberts .

Lucy had her own problems..with working at the geasy spoon..and getting soaked by betty.LOL.
NOT quite this was before the dream season. THE Crossovers stopped after the dream season in 1986.
TNT Dallas would have to have featured only the Gary and Val from 1978-1985 because they were interacting with Bobby.
T James But all that was changed when bobby wasn't dead in May of 86. To avoid confusion on knots.
No.. Because Lucy would have to stop working at the truck stop dinner at the time..??..XD
Costume Designer Travilla designed both for two seasons KNOTS LANDING (seasons 6-7 & DALLAS seasons 8-9).
Lilimae did not go off on Abby.

I wouldn’t really call that “going off.” Especially not when we know Lillimae was capable of so much more!

Donna mills / so gorgeous here
She looked like Barbara Mandrell’s twin sister at the time.

that makeup in thick!
