Maybe a coincidence BUT I noticed that the horse kept giving the occasional glance back at the family when and after the mounted guard was chatting with the Captain @ 8:50 making me wonder if it sensed the family connection with it's mounted guard and was taking an interest. I like to think so anyways... After all, animals are no fools!!
That's a bloody brilliant observation, i thought he was just trying to nip my boot or bite the bit. I'll think a bit more sincerely when the horses are doing odd things like this, thanks for pointing that out!

It clearly states to beware of the horse, and not to touch the reins. Its not just Americans, it's people from other countries as well. You need to respect the horse, the guards, and the rules and laws of the country to which you are visiting ! Such a great video! ❤❤❤

Also you could notice a portion of the conversation that the Guard had with his Captain, you would even notice the way the Guard is talking is very well educated and with much respect, those guards could be excellent role-models for the youth during these times that the new generation needs so much good examples.

I love that you can see the guards' cheeks crinkle with a smile for his family. Why does no one stop and thank the guard for his service? Everyone talks to the horse, but not the guard. I find that very rude. When touring the White House, we stopped and thanked the Marines and secret service.

I feel bad for the horses that have to stand for hours with no food or water in the SUMMER heat and winter cold. That would be horse abuse here in the USA
I am not really a royalist , but i do appreciate the hard work these guys do ,, then to face the unpredictable public, its gotta be up there with the army or police training,, i thank them so much for keeping me interested in the castle and royal protocol,, i really feel for all these guys and their animal's,, its hard work ❤

I think that the horse knew his guard time was up soon and was looking for his replacement when the back doors got opened up.
