The scarf, and I recognise the slight accent 😁I'm thinking of buying one of these in the UK. I currently have an Alvarez dreadnought AD60

Chris Miekle, the CEO of Alvarez, stated on one of their videos on their website that on their laminate back and side guitars, they use Mahogany as the middle laminate instead of Poplar or some other cheaper "white" wood. Even if the outer layers are Rosewood or some other species. This gives them a little more responsive back and a somewhat better tone. They are a good value...lots of tone for the buck.

I tried several classical cutaway guitars in range 500 pounds yesterday and the Alvarez c65ce was by far the warmest sounding. I'm sure the mahogany back and sides has a lot to do with the deeper bass sound. Thanks for your review.

I agree with Robert's comment below (if I interpret his comment correctly) that classical guitars seem to fit your style and musical taste. Of course, I only know you from the little bit of playing I see in these UA-cam videos, but the "vibe" seems to fit you. Possibly this is because of your classical training -- cello, if I remember correctly? Seems you've recently upgraded your camera and possibly also audio. It shows.

Nice comment. Yes I like playing classical guitars along with my acoustics. I love all guitars though. You remembered the cello - that is the instrument I received all my formal training on.

Another good review, but out of my price range. I really enjoyed your $100 acoustic shoot-out video, and ordered the Kimse concert. It would be great if you could do one on classical guitars. I'm hoping to get back into playing, after a 40 year break. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge, and experience. Much appreciated. 👍

Glad it was helpful. It's getting really to find playable quality classical guitars in the $100 range. I may do one for the $250 range at some point. I used to find Antonio Hermosa classical guitars for around $100 but they've dried up lately.

You can buy it for 350usd on many websites these days. Much cheaper than the original list price

I've had all of them and it's close - the Kremonas and Admiras are decent too.
