Sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Kyson Darren Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have this car, bought in 2000, that's 19 years I have had it. I love this car! Forest green, still getting 30 miles around town, 40 road trip. Condition about as good as Saul's. My friends and family laugh at me, but I love my little beast.
I have had this car for an year now, it has been nothing but reliable for me except the fuel pump went bad, but that is okay for an 18 year old car. I have planned to never sell my esteem and hopefully next year I'll modify it, maybe replace the engine, get a better suspension and everything. Totally adore this car.
The Esteem was sold in Latin America as the Suzuki Baleno. There are still plenty of these down here in Central America, in case you need some parts...
OMG he bought the car before the show aired? I was thinking he bought it in order to make the Better Call Saul Esteem LOL. Really nice time lapse of him doing the work.
Travelling the country and reviewing unique/spectacular/odd cars sounds like a great idea!!! Cars from TV shows and movies rebuilt by fans are surely very interesting too.
Fun fact, there was actually a GT version of this car offered. I️t brought a Mazda 1.8l DOHC (Protege engine). Had a bud back in high school who had one. I️t was a 95, iirc.
I just bought one of these this weekend, it just exactly the way this car did before your friend painted it. I got a great deal on it and I love it, but now that I've seen this video the coolness value of my car just like tripled. Thank you for this video!
This is AWESOME!! Dude seems cool as shit too! Definitely more like this!! Regardless of performance, you HAVE to admire and respect the dedication that's gone into this build!
Baleno, Cultus Crescent, Esteem all the same car most had the G series engine. In the US we had the 1.6 as well as the Mazda BP 1.8 which was later replaced with the Suzuki built 1.8. People bash these cars in the US but every time you see one in a junkyard it has over 200,000 miles...not too bad.
We actually jumped one and drove the crap put of it to the point the ball joint failed completly. reiliable cars normally, but not interesting in any way. fun fact, all sold in Norway had 4wd (that survived 3 clutch dumps untill the viscus coupling failed on my friends)
I didn't know this car was so rare in US, There are plenty of these in India selling for very low prices, it could be a business to import these to US and paint it like the one on show and Voila! you have a real car merchandise.
The Suzuki Esteem is still sold in Europe under the name Suzuki Baleno. You can find the complete details at www.suzuki.de (Germany) or www.suzuki.hu (Hungary where I believe the car is manufactured.) Balenos are regularly driven over 300k miles before ending up in das schrottsplatz. (junkyard.) You have to admit, the engine still sounds good for a multi-decade old, rust bucket...
This was my first car! It ran great until the MAF sensor went out. Found out aftermarket MAF sensors didn’t work and finding a OEM one was damn near impossible. Eventually ended up scraping it haha
I almost bought one of these new in 1996 ... 5-speed manual, roll-up windows, no stereo so you can put in your own quality one, $11K. Ended up buying a 1994 Miata for the same money. But it always had a place in my heart. Before Suzuki rebadged Daewoo cars.
On the case of how rare these larger Suzukis are... Most of the US-spec ones came here to Puerto Rico and they were called Baleno, where there are still some "chugging along" (not a Toyota, but not an early Hyundai either). Originally they came with a 98hp 1.6L I4, but later models came with a PRETTY PEPPY (this car's weight with this engine in US-spec was ~ 2100 lbs., roughly the same as an NA Miata) 122hp 1.8L (also same output as that NA Miata and the Kia Sephia, which had the FWD version of the Miata's engine). Also tuners liked the lightweight platform of this Suzuki as a base for "racing projects" with most kinds of larger engines.
Interesting car his work shows that more people are falling in with there own type of car culture. Me personally I’m more of a Truck/ muscle car kind of guy but have great respect for that fuel injection technology those little motors use.
Austin Whiteside -- Well said. I am similar to you in the types of vehicles I like best -- Trucks and V8 domestic cars. However, oddly enough, I bought a Suzuki Swift about a year ago to have a lightweight 4 cyl parts runner. It's actually a neat little car. Looks like the one Sarah had a clip of in the video, except not as cool (yet) and way more beat up (still).
G'day, Sarah! Yeah! Most Iconic cars like Fred Sanford’s beat up 1951 Ford truck in Sanford & Son, Colt Seavers’ early 1980s model GMC pickup truck in the Fall Guy, or Sonny Crockett’s 1986 white Ferrari Testarossa in Miami Vice, K.I.T.T. in Knight Rider, the General Lee in the Dukes of Hazzard, or Herbie in The Love Bug. New regular car reviews! I enjoyed it! I'm so glad you did... This custom 1998 Suzuki Esteem (A.K.A. Saul Goodman's car from Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul) it is rather unique, and different! But still, it's really cool! Thank you very much! Cheers! :-)
I'm from Albuquerque where breaking bad and better call saul is filmed. I worked at Sears in cottonwood mall when they filmed the first episode. they even have a breaking bad restaurant
I hate rounded cars like the esteem but their is a certain charm about Jimmy's Esteem I like with the mismatched colored door. I just love the old boxy economic car! 😍😍😍
I had one of those but the 2000 facelift. In Venezuela, the Swift had 4 doors and was Chevrolet. It was discontinued after 1998 and then came the 1998 Chevrolet Esteem like the one on this video and in 2000 came the facelifted one that I had. I put 260.000 km on it (little less than 200k miles) without doing anything on it. Late oil changes, aggressive driving... I was 18 years old. I blew the cluth two times.
I'm selling my 2001 Suzuki Esteem right now, just $800. Runs awesome and has always run and run and run. 170k on it now. I'm the 2nd owner. Only selling because my son who was last using it moved out of state and had to leave it behind.
I like unique reviews. I’ve never seen one on this particular car. Maybe motor trend did one time. Maybe. I’ve got 49 Crosley wagon you can review if you want.
Nope, Esteem is not 4 door version of Swift, Infact Suzuki actually sold 4 door geo metro in India as Esteem. This was sold as Baleno. Even in US there was already a 4 door Swift sedan.
I had a Suzuki Esteem wagon, unfortunately it was from up north and the front subframe broke a couple months later, but I was able to throw my race kart in the back of it. Sold it for scrap money because it wasn't worth fixing. The engine ran strong though lolz.
if you swap that engine into a Japanese kind of a musle car you would fall in love with it. cause you get double the fun in less bucks. same thrill same speed.
BRILIANT ! This is a vehicle seen Decades later...at strip mall car shows... dressed as a SPONGE BOB /Square Pants parade car...(seen it, marveled at it...and THIS ).
Sarah i have to say you look much better then in your first videos uploaded to the chanel (actually younger) :) happy woman🤘 I love your videos! Keep it up
Here in Europe we knew this car as the " Suzuki Baleno " . It was marketed as a sedan ,a 3 door hatchback and an estate . The mom of one of my friends back then drove one of these around the Millennium. . It was already a piece of crap back then . And really slow .
"And there has never been more than 50 bucks in an Esteem in the history of esteems." -Saul Goodman
* 7 million
Watching this ep right now
I put $600 in parts in my 97 to get it running...
Finally made sense why Saul didn't like the Mercedes cup holder.
Lmaaaooo
Jimmy

@Kyson Darren Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process now.

My grandma gave me my 98 esteem when she passed about a year ago. i love this thing.
You still have it
Omg saul goodman
I have this car, bought in 2000, that's 19 years I have had it. I love this car! Forest green, still getting 30 miles around town, 40 road trip. Condition about as good as Saul's. My friends and family laugh at me, but I love my little beast.
Money u saved the money u earned 👍 why to spend hard earned money in fuel for v8 or v5😂
The little esteem that could
My first car was a 1999 Suzuki Esteem. It was actually a reliable car and drove well in the snow/winter conditions.
First car I ever bought was a 2001 Suzuki esteem. It too was highly reliable, even in the snow. I finally retired it in 2017.

The way you speak sounds exactly like Saul´s girlfriend on the show =D
No, it doesn't.
@@artificialinsolence3182 its like a mixture of kim and that receptionist from their shared law office (the one in breaking bad too)
wow i also thought so
They do sound similar

If I saw this car going down the road, I'd do my best to track them down and give a thumbs up or something. I love Better Call Saul (and Breaking Bad)
Started watching Better Call Saul and the dude's dedication to make this car look like the one in the show is cool 👍
OMG he bought the car before the show aired? I was thinking he bought it in order to make the Better Call Saul Esteem LOL.
Really nice time lapse of him doing the work.
This was great! I loved the change of pace. I'd definitely be down to watch more car reviews 👀
Though I noticed it on the show, I never gave the "rust" much thought. Loved that you mentioned it.

You're spot on with the Suzuki heritage on the Swift.
I bought my esteem 7 years ago runs like a champ great lil car.
Champ with a machine gun
This is AWESOME!! Dude seems cool as shit too! Definitely more like this!! Regardless of performance, you HAVE to admire and respect the dedication that's gone into this build!
It is actually a Suzuki Baleno in most others markets, but as usual with japanese economy cars they share a lot between models types.

true this is really Baleno, like i had it Baleno 1998
I actually bought a 2000 Suzuki Esteem brand new. Well, it's got 277,000+ miles and still going strong! It survived 3 kids and it shows it,lol.
I have a Suzuki Steem 2000, I feel very happy to know how weird is my car lol
That's my brother!! Love this!! :)
Jimmy McEsteem. Love this car and you really got Kim Wexler looks too
I didn't know this car was so rare in US, There are plenty of these in India selling for very low prices, it could be a business to import these to US and paint it like the one on show and Voila! you have a real car merchandise.

Buying and watching five seasons of Better Call Saul just paid off. This was awesome.

Love that show!
Cup holder was huge.
I had a Suzuki Baleno Station car for more than 9 years. Loved it, would buy it again any time if they were new. Reliable, fast enough, miss it still

They offered 15" SPEEDLINE wheels from the factory. Not bad for an economy car. Cool video!
Had one in mettalic cyan for 9 years. Never drove it cuz I was a kid. But it was comfy. Good aerodynamics too. Manual drive. Decent boot space.

Me dio risa la escena donde le dice a los montachoques “la una manera de que ese auto valga 500 dólares es si trajera una golfa de 300 adentro “ 😂😂😂😂😂
these were sold in india for a while , after it was discontinued in the Americas, it was rebadged Suzuki Baleno ! same 1.6 liter 4 pot engine .
Currently watching, Better Call Saul and ironically I’m on season 5, episode 8 when the car gets destroyed.
I like unique reviews. I’ve never seen one on this particular car. Maybe motor trend did one time. Maybe. I’ve got 49 Crosley wagon you can review if you want.

Squeaky doors ,stalling engine and black smoke are the signatures.
Love the show & this car is freaking adorable

Nope, Esteem is not 4 door version of Swift, Infact Suzuki actually sold 4 door geo metro in India as Esteem. This was sold as Baleno. Even in US there was already a 4 door Swift sedan.
It’s Called Chevrolet Cassia (Philippines), Chevrolet Esteem (Colombia), Suzuki Baleno (Europe).

great, fun idea...great review. Keep it up!
i love my esteem
Like for the work the guy put into the car
Legendary car
you are amazing Sarah
They made a version of the esteem with the mazda bp engine in lighter chassis. Yes they are rare and no not the Suzuki j18 engine which came later.
I had a similar antenna on my old '96 Corolla (which was my first car.)
Sarah i have to say you look much better then in your first videos uploaded to the chanel (actually younger) :) happy woman🤘

I have this car also. But i have the 1.6 16V maschine. My car is an facelift and comes from canada. Nice greetings from germany.
It look more like Suzuki Baleno. Actually Baleno and Esteem were same car with some modification in different country at that time.
This is very cool. Is he interested in selling it? Would be a fun car to own as I am a fan of the show.
I just subbed! you are genuine car girl, and you make good videos! I admire females who do great car work!
The rear end looks a lot like the Suzuki baleno. I remember both cars were very popular when I was a kid in India
They are the same car
This car is in the promo for the last episode. I think your investment will pay off in the end.
This is so awesome!!!

My first car was a 1999 suzuki esteem green and i hated it but it was my first car its AC could never be fixed

this one esteem staring model 1998
but 2007 vxi model most popular model in India
That is awesome!
I thought the two A-10's were going to use it for target practice or something.
Oh, the 30 mm would tear it to shreds in about 1 or 2 seconds... LOL
I have this car in Pakistan ... and in Pakistan this car is vary famous.
Big fat like right in the beginning for the A-10s. Miss them since they left over here... :(
Never watched the show. But the story of remaking the car and the review was interesting and weird it's s Suzuki.
