..He made it not just "to the top"...he made it "Over The Top" :)Ha! Ha!...Winner Takes It All...I love that song..one of those I rewound and listened to again about 3 times in a row when it came out. I thought I saw somewhere that Sammy doesn't like that song. Not sure why...great riff, his vocals are great on it, and loved the part in the video where he was riding the motorcycle and arm wrestling Sylvester Stallone...1987, great times :) I would love to see him do that song live with The Circle....
Thank you Sammy. I've watched you perform with Van Halen several times and solo performances. You have an amazing attitude and you keep your ego in check.
I took my husband (he's 69) to your concert at the Fillmore in October, he was mesmerized by how you could still rock it out. Doing what you still love is the key and you certainly are an example of that. 🧡
I'm in my 50's and have been a HUGH fan of the red rocker... looking back over my years ..... Sammy was with me when I graduated, when I went to basic trainning, in Desert Storm, all through my life the voice I my ear!!! It's like a farther one an uncle picking you up... Thank you from the HEART!!! JVB
DS vet here also. I agree. Seen hagar a pile of times and glad he's still slinging. EVH left a hole though that will not be replaced. Still cant believe he's not here. Live without a net Was in my vhs for about 12 months
Saw him play a few months ago. The fact he can still sing and play at such a high level, and that he is doing it for the love (since he obviously doesn't need money) of it, is amazing.
We always appreciate the ticket prices. Some of these bands are ridiculous, and I'd never pay what they want for tickets. Hubby just lost his job, I'm going to put 50 cents a week away, and by the time he comes around again we can go. 😂
Thank you Sammy for all of the great music and good vibes you have given us all down through the years you are a good soul and the world is a much better place with you in it Happy New Year Sammy to you and your family stay well and God Bless peace
Sammy you've been rockin me since my teenage years and now I'm approaching 60 and you just keep on rockin. Love ya brother. Stay healthy and party on 😊
Total legend of living life to it's fullest , I frame my later years after Sammy as an inspiration, he looks young because he lives young and spreads happiness. Sammy is the soul you want to be.
@@lorihoop3831 yes! I’ll be there again to see Sammy and the crew…That’s where I’ve seen all the 80’s hard rock bands at it’s gonna be a blast from the past this summer- I can’t wait!
Truly one of my favorite rock and roll, heavy metal musicians of all time. Nobody parties on stage like Sammy and his songs and albums are legendary classics. "One foot on the brake and one on the gas, hey" And he never lets up.
A nice grounded seasoned musician, always loved his music, haven't heard all of it, but i will always turn it up on the radio as its uplifting and full of energy. Here's to many more, healthy happy years Sammy.
Sammy, you Rocked me big time when I was 17. I'm 67 now, so you've kicked my butt for 50 years with your Badass Red Rocker Rock and Roll. I even got to work with your crew, quickly shake your hand and say hello while working for Louis Messina and Pace in '79. Thanks for Rocking my life for 50 years.
God bless you Sammy! You’re a true rock and roll icon and the first act I saw with a buddy in 1983 when I was 13 yrs old. I’m 54 now and I’ll be a lifelong fan. Thank you for your music & wise and inspirational words.
Always thankful for what life has given, good or bad. Gratefulness goes along way these days. Good karma does bring good luck. This stop, look, listen thing is working for many people.
Great advice, I always listen to people more experienced and older than me. If I see that they look happy, pretty healthy and still excited about life and doing things which Sammy is I’ll always take on board their advice.
Thank you for all the music and happiness you bring all of us I'm hoping I can get enough money to see you in Tampa fairgrounds in July your music got me through my Army days all the love to you and God bless 🙌
Retired in my 40s. Now, in my 50s......I have 3 homes, including a beautiful ranch near the Texas/Mexico border. I have a 1,000 bottle of Whiskey and 750 bottle Wine collection. Still own a Law Group in Fort Worth and a full pension to boot. I am blessed for sure. I look forward to living another wonderful 20-30 years, God willing, not unlike you, Sammy. I have seen you in concert many times over the past 30 years. Thank you for the memories!
As far as being able to rock out all balls to the wall and maintain a stable, healthy and loving family. This guy was truly blessed. Keep on Red Rocking dude!
I found out that the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967 that you went to changed your life. So, I assume that after attending that festival you wanted to be on stage performing music that much more. I'm glad that you decided to work hard to get there. You are awesome.
Sammy thanks for the advice I really appreciate them ! I hope you live so much more years! 2023 birthday bash was one of the best days in my life ! thanks for your music and your example of how to live and love our life as a Human being and to never give up! greetings from Monterrey Mexico!

Lost my BIL last November a week before Thanksgiving. An expected and tragic death. He literally left for work and was never to return home, leaving his wife a widow and kids without a father. Getting old is a blessing and a privilege.
No matter how many years you live, it's really about the years you live your life fully. I also feel some decades are meant as a penance for a previous decade when you played too much.
Thanks for sharing those thoughts/memories from your years that youve lived.❤really appreciate the share. I wrote a song in recent days and as I was humming the verse melody...I said to myself.." thats a Sammy vibe on how he would sing it". Never had a "Sammy inspired vocal line hit me" like that did days back. Inspiration from Van Halen days were simply EPIC/ICONIC...you flowed. God blessed you 👍 thanks!
I really enjoyed that. Thanks for the overview. I'm turning 42 soon and trying not to fall into the "you're old now" mindset. So much left to do (and to enjoy)
Thank you, Sammy. For this. For all the years of great music. Everything, man. Just thank you.
What wisdom from JUST? a rock and roll dude. Who’d a thunk it.💁♀️
Amen well put brother stay well God Bless peace
He is one of the most REAL and Honest Human Beings on the Planet 🎸👍🎸👍
Same thing I was going to say. Love the down to earth attitude
Congratulations Sammy, you made it to the top. You damn sure earned it.

In my book Sammy is a legend!
My first concert was 1975 at the IMA auditorium in Flint Michigan. Montrose and Humble Pie. Sammy rocked the place. 👍🏻

Show him a video of Ronnie Montrose Band when Sammie was 18 or 19. Maybe that will help.
