I don’t watch these vids when they come out, I save them for the weekend when I chill at 4 in the morning when nobody can bug me and I wait for SB to open to get my coffee before work, it’s so peaceful watching these mean machines and dreaming about having my own one day.. love this channel!
This Mustang is a true race car. Not because of it’s history or anything like that, it just is a race car. The way it’s been built, all the sounds not just exhaust note, it’s personality. It’s a badass race car, has been for a while. Great video!
I miss my 1966 GT350 Hertz. Black with gold racing stripes. Just such amazing Mustangs, I sold mine in 92 cause I needed the money but there’s not a day that I wish I could still have her. Hipo 289 with a Cobra aluminum manifold and a four speed top loader such a great little race car.
It’s a cool Mustang, but that Raw GT 350 with 400 hp & 400 foot pounds of torque has been your best Mustang to date, keep up the great videos. The Fiesta Flash 🤙🏼🍺🍺
Lovin' the Mustang. Sounds really knarly. As it should as and all out race car, So glad to see the old Mustang keep racing with the new owner. Be safe and stay well.
I've been watching and re watching all your vids with the 60s stangs with BIG wheel/tire/brake combos and small wheel/tire/brake combos for months. IMHO the 15x9/10 with some 275/50/15 "DOT" legal tires and some decent Wilwood 4R 12" brakes front and rear is all these light ass cars really need to be safe and still have the ability to beat on now and then. Thats FINALLY the route I'm taking on my '68 coupe anyway. MERRY CHRISTMAS from frozen central Texas yall ! lol
As a mustang guy! Bad a$$! Waiting on my 69 Karmann Ghia to get back from paint then I can finish it up for my wife/Boss. Parts are waiting. After that I got the green light for a 60’s mustang build. Can’t wait! Love the vids
There is definitely a place for the restomod and full restoration cars, but this is what it's about for me. A car to drive and drive hard. Yet another great video.
@@ToneOFTheGods you're a freaking dipstick! You need to go watch something else my man. Electric's cool because it's new. There's nothing like gas. There's nothing like what it's always been. You think electric cars are cool until it's forced on you. Smh
Electric will take over and I'm sure there will be electric cars that attempt to replicate the muscle car feel, but you will never be able to beat the classic muscle car vibe. Even the modern petrol muscle cars can't quite do it. Muscle cars are loud, brash, impractical in the main and generally unsafe compared to today's standards. My car has a single lap belt and I think the crumple zone is the driver.
What kind of people come on a video of a real vintage race car and comment about electric cars being cool!? We get that there’s an “agenda” and all, but do you have to cram it down our throats at every turn? Live and let live, man…
Between Ethan, David, and Tomy on your channel, @@AutotopiaLA, I’ve got all the inspiration in the world. 😊 Build a car that would get a 👍🏼 from any of those guys, and you’re on the right track (and Mr. Blkors has been sharing a few trade secrets with me too). 😎 Keep ‘em comin’ Shawn!
Shawn, as much as I love you going through the car with the owner and talking about it’s journey…listening to uninterrupted raw engine and gearbox sounds for two and a half minutes made this video the best so far!
I have always asked myself where that 'Mexico' is that everyone is talking about. Turns out, it's on the corner of Clybourn and Saticoy, just outside Burbank Airport. Near perfect car, even with flames 😍
But I enjoy the guests and vehicles that Shawn has on his show, think about it guys, would AutopiaLA be the same program with 'blech'! old classic cars converted to full-on e-power? Hell would freeze over twice!!!
Love both of your comments here and couldn’t agree more on electric. I’m simply not excited about them and I’ve driven Tesla & the Taycan Turbo. Impressive acceleration with no heart pounding thrills whatsoever

Love the sound of a high revving small block and straight cut gears! But those slowing down sounds are why I'll never understand why people put race brakes on street cars. I wonder how the sponsor of this video would do at reducing or eliminating the fine for driving a race car on the street??🤔
@@AutotopiaLA That's what I meant. They definitely belong on that Mustang. It's a pretty purpose built race car. I just meant other folk that think their daily should have race brakes as they screech their way through a parking lot.
@@YukonDemon if they don't mind the screeching, they live with it, and then hopefully they race it on the weekends. If it's too much, then you pick up a beater for a daily. Not that complicated.
@@PaulSter That's what I mean. I've seen lots of people who put race brakes on a car that never sees a track. If you're racing the car on weekends, the noisy brakes make perfect sense because they have a function.
650 tq from a NA 302? I'd love to see the actual numbers from these Trans Am type engines. That thing must rev to the moon but for it to make 650 tq the HP would have to be closer to 800. I'm guessing 550/480ish split
I agree man! There is no WAY that engine is 650hp N/A. It would be a grenade and pretty much undriveable and with a really short shelf life. Australian V8 supercars make about 620hp from 5.0L Motorsport blocks and have been developed for over 40 years with state of the art race teams and huge dollars spent in R&D.

DAMN! I love this car. It hits all the RIGHT buttons. 10/10

I love that small capacity high revving balls out style

That camaro at the end 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌👍😍😍.. ..ohh yeah the mustang too..

650hp & 650tq out of a tiny 4-bolt 302!?!?!? What in the actual f*&k 😱😱😱
