I agree...when he went to the wcw he wasnt the same...my team was the roadwarrior and they should of never came to the WWE/WWF....they were such much better in the AWA and the NWA before Vince ruined Hawk's image..

Savage was intense and so electrifying with his charisma and wrestling ability. He was the total package.
Vince really did have 3 BIG GAME players in that timeframe in wrestling. The BIG3 Macho Man Savage, Ultimate Warrior, and Hulk Hogan. LEGENDS.

Jim Cornette he’s very charismatic but I preferred the golden era of wrestling. Proper characters and super super heels.
I did like the attitude and ruthless aggression eras but in terms of pure entertainment and storytelling you can’t beat the golden era. 1987-1992.
Since the Benoit tragedy in 2007 my interest in wrestling has been lost.

Jon Heidenreich was originally going to be a Nazi from the 1940s cryogenically frozen only to be thawed out in the 21st century; he would have had Paul Heyman (who is Jewish!) as his manager. As incredibly tasteless as that gimmick would have been, it would have been light-years more interesting than making him Hawk's replacement in the Legion of Doom.

For all the people that say these guys should've stayed retired, realize professional wrestling is their career. If you were so good at your job that years after you retired you were offered heaps of money to return for a short period of time, I guarantee you would do so.

To know how big Warrior was you need to think for a sec. WM6 was Hogan on a streak for the ages and Warrior entering his peak at the same time. This was truly special. The first champ vs champ title match with by far the 2 biggest stars. The crowd was close to 50-50. 12 years later in the same stadium and Hogan(heel)against The Rock and it was 80 percent Hogan. During 1990 it was unheard of to see 2 babyfaces. Then by far the 2 powers. Then a clean match. I loved Warrior and my twin brother Hogan.

One odd thing that stands out is the comment about the Davey Boy Smith's hair. He had long hair for a very short period of time in his career, originally copying his brother-in-law, Brett Hart, and then opting for the braids. When teaming with the Dynamite Kid early in his career he had a standard short cut, and a close cut the rest of his career- including when he was the chosen heel feuding with a babyface Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight Championship in the WWF (with Jim Cornette as his manager).
