This is awesome @HardeyeFilms. Do you have any additional info on the second track "Impure" by Moope? Love it, but Google has turned up nothing on this band or this track. Is it another band's pseudonym?
Your question hurts my brain a bit; my memory’s not so sharp anymore and I don’t want to say anything that might be a complete fabrication. What I can say from the info on the 7” I have is that it was released in 1991 on Rusty Cow Records out of Indianapolis. There are three songs on it, “Sleep,” “Tingod” and “Impure.” It was recorded at Idful Recording Studios in Chicago, engineered by Brad Wood. Anything else I say could be completely made up. Sorry this is the best I can do, but hope this helps.
I appreciate the response. This was a bit of an error on my part. I was searching for the band "Moope," which is how it's spelled in the video description text on UA-cam, but after paying closer attention to the credits in the video itself, I saw the correct spelling is "Moppe" not "Moope." All that to say, I've now found the 7" and have bought one of two available on discogs. Thanks for the info and thanks for this video! Watched it half a dozen times now, still find it hilarious.
Haha, thanks for pointing out my spelling error. I hate when I do that and corrected it. That’s great you found a copy of the 7”, glad I was able to help a bit.
Cool! I know the auto repair shop very well, having worked there briefly for my cousin Fulvio, about thirty years ago.
