Ikallicrates Game shows are always pre-recorded. They do several episodes in a row and show one or two each day. They also edit the episodes to fit neatly into their time slots.

We did a test here in Quebec with real people and a popular TV host. The host would ask them a bunch of questions about pop culture and people would come up with the right answer instantly. Of course, we don't tell them it's the right answer. We just say it's a good one. Then we would turn the cameras on and make them believe they were live on TV and ask them the same questions only in different order. The same people who got it right the first time would come up with some of the dumbest answers you'd ever heard. The point was to prove that some people are just not meant to be on TV. Their brains just stop working. Sheila is obviously one of them.

Kind of like where "The Banker" sits on "Deal or No Deal," except he doesn't make phone calls to them on stage, he just motions to the director to "cut" the taping. But usually he doesn't, and just lets the contestants take way longer to give answers (it's supposed to be 3 seconds to give an answer, right or wrong, up there or not, and if you say nothing forvideo3 seconds after he asks the question, you get a strike, but I pretty much never,zero ever see this enforced although they stuck to that rule all the time back in Dawson's day) making it more an entertainment vehicle than a true, competitive game show. Some people think he doesn't comment on that because he just wants to let it go for the ratings, some think he lets it slide for the comedy, some think it doesn't really matter to him anymore.
I guess technically you could say I am the most cleaving to the third of those possibilities. But that's mostly because.....
