Peugeot Expert Camper - Upgrading the CD PLAYER

Today I'll be tackling the head unit. If you're converting a van or have already converted a van, you'll know all too well that the CD Players in these things are horrendous.
Coming from a nearly new car in to this camper, it was definitely missing some of those comforts I previously had such as Android Auto and Maps. So I decided to buy an XTRONS Unit

Hey mate, you might want to look for a connects2 steering wheel control adapter, allows you to retain use of the MFD via the stalk on the wheel ;-)

Would the hot air from the heater not damage the unit and can you still effectively use the vents?

Possibly the internals yes, if the vents are used excessively on full heat.
I did consider this when installing the unit and decided to turn off the vents and I've never used them.

Cann you still use the display on top of the dashboard? I find that display very usefull, so i want to keep using it if i'm buying an aftermarket headunit.

Hi Jordyhermes1983,, if you mean the one that displays MPG, Fuel remaining etc.... yes, you can still use this and scroll through the options.
I was also worried about losing that display when upgrading the head unit, but everything still works as it should.

I think this model of Xtrons unit has been discontinued now.
But there's plenty of others that are a similar design and the latest Android version.
