Ah yes I remember my first Karen. I was a young man, enjoying myself on the swings listening to music. That's when she came out of her hiding place among the trees. She told me to get off the swing set because her son wanted to use it. I told her there are two swings and he is more than welcome to use the other one. Karen however said that I had to get off because I was too old to use the swing set. She then pointed to the sign which stated this playground equipment it's intended for Children 8-12, playground rules and etc. I told her that the sign does not state that people over the age of 12 cannot use the playground equipment and I had no intention to leave. That's when she pick grabbed my bag from the ground next to me and threw it. Normally I would not be content to move but I had too, because I had a pew pew in the bag. So I jump to my feet and run over to my bag and put it on. I then attempt to go back to the swings and sit down, but now Karen is actively getting in my way trying to prevent me from sitting on the swings. At this point I'm done being polite. I push past her and sit down on the swing, but Karen isn't ready to give up without a fight. She then attempts to push me off the swing herself but I resist and work up a good swing. Soon I have gained enough momentum that Karen cannot stop me. The Karen was furious, ordering and screaming for me to get off. I soon found myself laughing knowing that Karen cannot stop me. Knowing defeat the Karen retreated back from which she came.

Depends where you are really, where I live the law states that dogs must be under their owners control, it doesn't specify a leash. As a result, I walk my 6 dogs twice daily with no leash. I have had a couple of people indicate to me nicely that they are afraid of dogs so I moved the pack further away from them. It makes me sad that there are dogs out there who never get to experience running free and so I believe that those who aren't prepared to put the time and effort into ensuring their dogs can be off leash safely, should hire a trainer or not have dogs.
@@weeblz9562 I live in an area with a lot of other dogs and wild animals, so keeping my dog on leash is best for her safety! Also, she’s a big scaredy cat and a fast runner, so if she hears a loud sound or pop, she’ll run like the wind (can’t really train a fear out of a dog, yknow?). Just because people walk their dogs on a leash doesn’t really mean a dog has never “run free” or that the person shouldn’t have that dog..fenced areas exist :(

All of my dogs are rescues and some of them came to me with some severe behavioural problems (one dog in particular took 3 years to be fit to walk off leash due to fear issues). The people I'm referring to are those who walk their dog on a leash every time it goes out of the house for the entirety of its life. If those peoople could see my dogs running and playing in the mountains just once, I would hope they would be moved/motivated to put more effort into going places remote enough to allow it, even if only for a short while.

You can sit there and say the dog wasn't doing anything, but a lot of people are scared of dogs, especially big ones and it's not okay to just let your dog run free up to people, it just simply isn't. Also, the owner was putting his dog at risk, see how easy it ran out in the road? animals get hit by cars all the time just like that and the chance of a dog snapping and biting someone is not worth it. Ah yes I remember my first Karen. I was a young man, enjoying myself on the swings listening to music. That's when she came out of her hiding place among the trees. She told me to get off the swing set because her son wanted to use it. I told her there are two swings and he is more than welcome to use the other one. Karen however said that I had to get off because I was too old to use the swing set. She then pointed to the sign which stated this playground equipment it's intended for Children 8-12, playground rules and etc. I told her that the sign does not state that people over the age of 12 cannot use the playground equipment and I had no intention to leave. That's when she pick grabbed my bag from the ground next to me and threw it. Normally I would not be content to move but I had too, because I had a pew pew in the bag. So I jump to my feet and run over to my bag and put it on. I then attempt to go back to the swings and sit down, but now Karen is actively getting in my way trying to prevent me from sitting on the swings. At this point I'm done being polite. I push past her and sit down on the swing, but Karen isn't ready to give up without a fight. She then attempts to push me off the swing herself but I resist and work up a good swing. Soon I have gained enough momentum that Karen cannot stop me. The Karen was furious, ordering and screaming for me to get off. I soon found myself laughing knowing that Karen cannot stop me. Knowing defeat the Karen retreated back from which she came.

Depends where you are really, where I live the law states that dogs must be under their owners control, it doesn't specify a leash. As a result, I walk my 6 dogs twice daily with no leash. I have had a couple of people indicate to me nicely that they are afraid of dogs so I moved the pack further away from them. It makes me sad that there are dogs out there who never get to experience running free and so I believe that those who aren't prepared to put the time and effort into ensuring their dogs can be off leash safely, should hire a trainer or not have dogs.

Also, she’s a big scaredy cat and a fast runner, so if she hears a loud sound or pop, she’ll run like the wind (can’t really train a fear out of a dog, yknow?). Just because people walk their dogs on a leash doesn’t really mean a dog has never “run free” or that the person shouldn’t have that dog..fenced areas exist :(

@@anak6748 I understand that it can be challenging and it's awesome that your first thought is for your dogs safety. All of my dogs are rescues and some of them came to me with some severe behavioural problems (one dog in particular took 3 years to be fit to walk off leash due to fear issues). The people I'm referring to are those who walk their dog on a leash every time it goes out of the house for the entirety of its life. If those peoople could see my dogs running and playing in the mountains just once, I would hope they would be moved/motivated to put more effort into going places remote enough to allow it, even if only for a short while.
