Yukiko is one of my favorite video game waifus. Pretty and sweet Chie is wonderful too but she's kinda loud. By the way Lavenza and Margaret look sweet too🤣
Yeah, that dialect on Labrys is still hella weird. I don't know who came up with this decision but she's a robot. That grew up in a testing facility. Where the hell did she acquire a dialect? It would make sense if it was to blend in with everyone but she's not using a regional dialect since everyone else is speaking normally. I just don't understand dubs. It's so fucking weird. Do none of the people involved with this stuff have any professional pride?
In the Japanese version she has a Kansai dialect, due to memories of a young girl from Unit # 024, and since there really isn’t an equivalent in English they went with a Brooklyn accent. The decision actually makes a good amount of sense when you think about it.
She´s different from the others, as the comment above says, a young girl from Kansai was used to give personality to all the units but Labrys was the only one that inherit her accent. That is why she talks in a different way than the others.
