You can get a property requiring some work for 50 thousand and way less if you step away from the usual coast / British tourist area and look at the real Spain👍
But 95% of movers want the sea too, the whole coast is going up in cost from Barcelona to Cadiz. It's affecting the "next" inland Cities like Girona, Elche & Jerez. Cheaper properties are going to get ever further from the coast.
@@ScottishCoupleInSpainWhere would you move in my case then? Also big up to you for bringing up my question. I am truly honored by your reply. Absolute legend you are Barry. All the best and I keep watching.
Spain is a huge country. It all depends on what you want out of life. Do you want an area where many English speakers are so you don't have to worry about learning to much Spanish? So many questions.
@@ScottishCoupleInSpain I agree, we had an apartment from 2000 to 2017 in Torrevieja which we sold to buy and rent out another house near us...best move we could have made. When we bought the 7% tax was on the buyer, but when we sold they had switched it to the seller ! We love Torrevieja and apart from this year we have since stayed at the excellent Dna Monse, but with the intention that eventually we will stay for longer and rent. There are loads of rental properties that can be had at reasonable rates and you can hand the key back when you go, without any of the property owning headaches. There's also the issue of the Spanish Wills, isn't there ?
Hope your subs go to 200k and beyond very quickly - you both deserve it !
And the wee dog - 🤣

That's why we jumped ship when we did, we looked at what "Brexit" would really mean.
