People were penalized for not having coverage for the entire year or not at all because very few met the criteria for an exemption. So it actually just created another bill for people who already couldn't afford health insurance. In all our "greatness" I still don't understand why we don't have free universal coverage anyway. I'd be willing to pay higher taxes to make that happen, but we the people don't count and haven't for a long time. As long as corporations can make these outrageous contributions to these politicians' campaigns our votes don't really matter. They are the ones (corporations) that really get legislations passed and run the country to their benefit. I can't imagine another four years of this, but I fear we will get stuck with him again. Sorry for the long comment, but it needs to be said and also the rest of the world needs to understand we don't all agree with this administration. Throw another lockdown on and there will just be more revolting. Just imagine.... we've been hearing how China is going down with this bad virus, and then we get a positive test in the US. If more had been done sooner, seeing how bad it was getting, we could have ended it. Instead, you have people who are anti-mask, we're bringing home all the Americans who have all been around infected to come back and infect more, etc. If people would have just accepted a two week vacation right at the very beginning, things would be "normal" right now. Two weeks. Now we get a whole year of everything cancelled and people suffering instead (and then some probably). Because people can't just abide by a simple rule for two weeks and had to make it all about themselves. United WE stand, not united I stand. Respect others, care about others. No reason not to.

My wife and I were in Winko today shopping and I noticed that there were some people not wearing masks. Worst part of it...a very large woman in one of Winko's disabled carts wasn't wearing a mask and was coughing all over, even right at us as we passed her. Winko has a sign right as you enter telling everyone that face masks are required. Why the hell aren't they enforcing their own rules. Inconsiderate scum bags. 😡
