When visualizing ambitious and massive architectural projects, Lumion heavily depends on a powerful graphics card with a lot of video memory to bring the design to life. The project in this video, Aedas City, was built at such a scale and complexity, it required over 30GB of video memory. AMD's Radeon PRO W6800 graphics card with its 32GB of memory was up to the task, creating a fast and smooth rendering experience (even considering the project's impressive size).

Lumion, we seriously need tutorials to make stuffs like this, no one teaches these high level production.
the main job here is really what is done before Lumion - the model source being imported is of a very high quality - and a very large scale. This is not something a Lumion tutorial can change - all the Lumion tutorials are really good as they are - but they can't teach you to make better models. - camera movement, music sync etc. and camera angles and lighting are also kind of outside Lumion teams aspect and can be tought through other means - combine excellent modelling, with good light and camera setup and then use what Lumion tutorials already teach - and you can get to this level. But this is obviously a huge work by many people when looking at the modelling :)

My computer will turn into Blue Screen of the Death Scenario.
A two minute 4k 60fps maximum quality setting animation on a good graphics card will take at least 24 hours with most of the effects added on. Still way faster than raytracing like vray.

I believe it was done by a Chinese team given the massive modeling workload, or at least modeling outsourced to one of the Chinese teams. The Chinese render firms have enough cheap modeling guys to do this.

Historically, AMD cards have been weaker than NVIDIA cards for Lumion rendering when compared to counterparts for gaming. Is this an optimization issue and can we expect this to change moving forward?

Impressive work! But Lumion has to work hard to beat Nanite of Unreal Engine 5.
The same city can be created and rendered with low specs PC using the revolutionary Nanite feature of Unreal Engine.
