Thousands visit Buffalo, Wyoming for ‘Longmire Days’

- Even though it’s been three years since the last new episode of “Longmire” aired, thousands of people last week visited the Wyoming town that inspired the setting for the books written by Ucross, Wyoming author Craig Johnson.
An estimated 10,000 were in Buffalo, Wyoming on July 18-21 to celebrate the eighth annual “Longmire Days,” an event created to commemorate the popular television and book series.
Fans from around the world flock to Buffalo for the autograph sessions with stars from the show, parades, a craft show, talent show and classic car show that highlight the weekend.
Damaris Miller of Colorado said her love of the show will keep her coming to Buffalo every year even though the show is no longer in production.
The streaming service Netflix continues to air past episodes of “Longmire.”
Yeah Longmire is one of the best series I've seen on Netflix. Great writing and great casting. Top notch !

@@Weathergeekdan man the only problem I have with that is I just can't stand the thought of Walt not being sheriff and not being the main character in the show. I mean to me, in my mind Walt's character and the actor that played him and the way they wrote it for him just made the show and that's what got me hooked.
Just started watching Longmire this year. I don't watch much TV but it has me transfixed. Best show I have ever seen.

I want to go next year. Love the series. I know it had to have ended but wish it kept going too.

I lived in Buffalo for 2 years. I love that little town!! We plan to go back for a visit now that we’re retired!!
I am a native of that part of WY. Buffalo has always been a favorite place for me.

I saw a few episodes of Longmire. Read one of the Walt Longmire mysteries and have become a fan of the books. One of the few cases where the books and the show are not all that different.

All American show in an All American town! Just stayed in Buffalo at the Historic Hotel, and loved it! Bought some Longmire gear at a local shop and had breakfast at - The Busy Bee! (Not fictional!) Also got a couple of copies of the Longmire books, autographed by the author!

I really need to get out more! I did not know about all of this. I would love to go because I loved this show and I really hated that they canceled it! I wonder if this,” Longmire Days,” is still going to happen in 2021? If it is I need to find out the days and take off to Buffalo, WY. Would be very much appreciated to meet Walt! Other cast members too of course but Walt was my favorite.

Just found this show a month ago and watched the entire series twice. IF they have LMD's in 2022 my wife and I are going. Just finished "Cold Dish" and starting the second book. I truly feel some emptiness without this show.

Why do all the really good wholesome shows with great likeable actors always go away quickly while the garbage shows with lame unlikable actors and characters go on year after year after year into nauseum ??
