What a gorgeous case! Whereas I had been using EVGA's CLCX AIO to display some of that information, I really like that the most critical information can be made available on the front LCD panel. Been waiting for something like this for a while.
I just discovered you could fit a 120mm x 15mm fan behind the removable front panel (set to intake), and routing the fan cable up behind the front panel monitor, but it has to be a flat fan cable though, because anything round or sleeved will not fit the gap behind the monitor and the case. I did this because I used a Thermaltake PSU that was way longer than it needed to be (it was the only one I had on hand), and I couldn't use a 120mm fan on the inside of the front of the case.
Very informative, thank you. I plan on building in one of these! :)
Excellent review thanks❤
Nice review m8, well done
The latching pieces breaking is a pretty major concern, even with the extra ones they give you. If you clean out your PC every 3-6 months you can expect to run out in like 2 years.
Pretty cool, we need the lower power parts to come out. I am definitely down sizing my tower.
This case is worth the money if you want the 280/360mm aio support or the screen, just got mine a few days ago and its very nice...
Definitely one of the more unique cases. Lots of the people in r/mffpc used this case and enjoy it very much. Too bad for the slightly not so great build quality, but that's why it cost less for the mesh version. Still a good case with a good screen for a decent screen. Can't ask for more.
Great case. I'm thinking to get one.
Pretty awesome and never seen a case like this before. Just a bit of concern over the room within the case. I like to have a gpu mount that supports my card as I can see in the review that the card sags a bit.
Excellent Review!! - Helped me to make a decision! - Not a gamer, a futures trader.
It's a very cool design, and I love the layout except for one tiny thing. They really should've modified the core frame to better fit the cables for the screen. ideally the cables for the screen would be run straight through a hole on the back panel, behind the motherboard tray so you don't have to give up a PCIe slot to route the display cable without cutting said hole yourself. BUT, otherwise it's a great case for showing off a workstation inside of.
What will be the new trends for PC cases in 2023, after all the RGB and tempered glass? Front/side LCD screens and wood/leather?
And mesh side panels.
Wood for sure, it´s coming and we can see some out already. the wood with nature-themed builds are coming, even EK´s pres. is a fan of wood pieces in his WC items so...
New pc case from 2025, made from recycled fish bone
Rgb backplate
Why not?
Have an unopened one at home, need a few parts to start the build. Recently did a 12th gen w/DDR5 and a 13th gen w/DDR4, this will be 13th/DDR5 and a FE 4070 Super so very excited.
Thanks for telling about latches. I was drooling for D41 Mesh replacing modded Q500L but I'll pass.
That bend on the GPU gives me headache 🤕
Ocd I know 😢
If you buy the non screen version or if your screen stop working after 2 years are there any seperate Jonsbo screens to replace it?
Are you able to use a sfx to atx bracket to use an sfx psu?
Thank you for this review. I haven't heard of this company before. Are they generally good?
I honestly think it's AWESOME! Simple to just build and setup with their included simple Aida64 display.... it's essentially about as plug-n-play as you can get as far a a case display goes... And so in that respect it's totally worth the $150
Yes you can do it cheaper, but like you said in the video you just won't find a screen that big, with such a high resolution, or refresh rate, for the same price point..... PLUS You don't have to do ANY hacking up of case parts to get it look so clean... And it is customizable to your own tastes WITHOUT bloatware (which I ABSOLUTELY was expecting.... and you KNOW if this catches on there WILL be 50 different companies all making their own proprietary software AND the hardware won't be able to be taken off the case and used in another build when it's time to upgrade (I'm looking at you DELL and HP!!!)
So ALL-IN-ALL this is a GREAT PRODUCT and a fairly GOOD price! I would LOVE to buy it (I'm actually looking to get a new case) BUT it doesn't have enough space for all my HDDs :( ... Well that and I would end up turning the case display OFF because it would be way too distracting when I'm watching videos as my computer is my TV replacement and my case is on the same eye level as my screen.... And it's not really big enough to do anything on it as I watch my videos from several feet away....
HOWEVER If I did have a computer desk and I had my case up on it like my monitor, then while gaming I could have a walk-through on the case display to help me out when I need to read up on a difficult part, or even have a discord chat open if I was a streamer...
So there are A LOT of REALLY GOOD use cases for this case, and I could LOVE to have it, but I'm just not one of those uses cases right now. (But I still want it anyway lol)
Ótima dica
Maybe replace the latch pins with magnets? I like the case with the display. I’d go with a white themed case/build with HAL 9000 on the display.
Given the limitations of Micro ATX, is it possible to actually use both PCI slots in a case like this?
I am seriously thinking about grabbing one of these in white next time they're in stock.
Where do you get the screen template at 7:17?
AS i see you could use some tight wraps to pull the psu cables somewhere above and you could fit a 4090 there, the real problem here is the weight of that gpu on the pci port without any space to put a support for it, wich could bend the pci port.
Do you have info as to where I can get that exact Sensor panel template? Thanks....
Imagine putting a screen on the right side with an all mesh left panel. You could put close to a 15 inch display. Recess the mobo tray a bit to allow cable management and to recess the screen about 2-3 inches so you can place a screen protecting panel that can be pulled away. Then run a Sata cable for power. Have a vertical mount for the GPU to optimize cooling and most graphics cards are thinner they are wide. An AIO could still go in the front, you build something like the TU 150 with a handle. Make it a full itx build so it becomes the ultimate portable case. OLED, at 120htz.
Aka DIY AIO pc 😂🤘
This is underrated, best matx imo
the screens currently on sale as accessories for like 40 bucks , im getting a couple of em for a project
It can easily accommodate a Strix 4090. Supports up to 400mm length GPU's. You just need ONE of the following: SFX power Supply, a 240mm AIO instead of 360mm or an Air Cooler to mitigate that GPU clearance issue with the PSU.
Thanks for addressing the build quality issues on this. Others have mentioned this as a problem, too. No way I would downgrade from my current Fractal build quality, in place of a lesser quality case. I'll keep looking.
question, can you have 3 bottom 120s and the front? will it fit? if so, how much room? could you fit 30mm lower and front 120s?
Can this really fit a 200mm PSU? Planning my next build with this case. Would be a nice break if I can fit my 200mm EVGA PSU.
I will like to see the jonsbo n2 as a Nas and see if it worth the price
Side note as a owner and still currently still using the mesh version, love the case, the front panel you could add a black sheet of paper in-between so that the rgb fan light won't bleed out of it(looks ugly).
Also the PSU you can literally use any PSU but note that the size 140 would be the best, I'm using a 160 PSU and I can't put a fan at the front(that why there's the black sheet of acrylic)
For those who think there's no space they also buy the atx version Jonsbo D41 mesh
I'll take a screen please. Should start making them for all size towers as an added option at least but most of all, make it raspberry friendly as I use my stats using the web with Aida64
Will the MSI MAG B650M Mortar WiFi fit this case?
This is perfect imho
Jonsbo D41 is even sweeter
I hope more competitors hv front panel screen like this
Loved the idea of taking this round town and not bringing any monitor
I hope it will come out soon.
@@JanKadlec already out in local stores in my area
Mesh d31 is $80 while d41 with screen is around $105
I believe the front panel headphone jack can also connect a microphone.
I like it and its likely to be replicated by other manufacturers in the future. Godlike MB has a screen so why not a case. I'm thinking mini ITX and 2 x 360 rads....
Very nice
Wonder if this good for international plane travel
Hi! Where to download SensorPanel like in your video?
question : is the tempered glass sidepanel on the jonsbo d31 directly swappable to the asus ap201? no matter how many times i look at it they look like they were made by the same manufacturer with just tiny differences on each other. even the mounting points looks exactly at the same spot.
The AP201 is shorter and deeper than the D31 so the panels aren't interchangeable.
Great video, but please dont kill your gpu , don't let it sag
I want something like this on a larger case so that I can build my NAS in it. Then I always have a display when I need to troubleshoot it instead of moving one around
D41 is coming.
Cn anyone recommend an 850Watt psu? mine didnt have long enough cables to reach the cpu plug
I was considering getting one of these but no one in the US has them available anymore. Newegg doesn't even list it at this point. They have the standard and mesh but not the one with the screen. The screen was the entire reason it was even on my radar.
I think Newegg gets them in blocks of 50 at a time. I've seen them restocked regularly but they are probably behind right now due to Chinese New Year.
@@ElevatedSystems Yeah, it's just weird that they completely removed the listing for it. Usually they'll put a backordered button or that more are expected. Amazon on their listing put their message that says they don't know if it will be restocked.
@@UnloadedMedia 2 weeks later but its listed again
Back in the mid to late 2000s you could buy screens that would take up two or three 5.25" bays.
Where can i buy that ada64 template
Anyone know if this will be available in Canada?
Whats the difference between this and the d41 version
Size. D41 is a ATX case this is Micro-ATX.
Great review, thank you. I wanted to ask about my potential build for this case if anyone who has used it thinks it will be ok?

I'm a little late on this, but the only criticism I have is the aio. A 360mm in this case can work, but it'll come with a lot more hassle than it should. I'd recommend either downgrading to a 280mm rad or more preferably a two tower air cooler since it'll be a lot easier to cool your cpu anyway (LTT made a video on cpu cooling recently, I say you should check that out before deciding).
I am trying to find out what kind of panel the 8" screen is. Is it a TN,VA or IPS. Hopefully not an OLED if you want to use it for dials with statistics.-.
It’s an IPS display.
@@ElevatedSystems wow that is awesome
72 C over ambient for the CPU... What's you ambient temp and which test did you perform?
I use the Aida64 stress test and my ambient temps are typically between 18 and 21 Celsius. This is "worst case scenario" test.
Just a thought, what would stop you from powering the screen with a USB header on the motherboard?
The screen uses usb-c for power, although it looks like usb 2.0(it's not blue), so i guess the only limiting factor is your skill/patience to hack up a cable like this. There are usb extension cables that plug into the motherboard port, so you could get one of those and either just plug it in, or make one that fits your needs. I guess this option was just cheaper and/or more universal.
I really don't like the idea that these performance monitor screens has to be plugged into the gpu. It should be a usb device with it's own processor, so it doesn't create problems when you mess with your monitor configurations. That can of course be remedied by adding a raspberry pi or something.
Can we put a second AIDA64 screen inside, on the right side behind the glass?
I don't think Aida64 supports 2 separate panels.
👍 Отличный обзор .
History repeating itself? Not the first time... Remember Windows SideShow, part of Windows Vista? I also remember a few HTPCs with displays.
Could this fit a Asus ROG Strix B550-F motherboard and a ASUS ROG Strix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 OC Edition ????
No, this is a Micro-ATX case. You need the D41 Mesh SC for an ATX board.
@@ElevatedSystems oh ok I’ll get the d41 then thanks 🙏 I subscribed
If this could fit more than one 3.5" drive I would totally use this for my new unraid server.
It has a drive cage for 2 in the larger d41
Has anyone else noticed that one Jonsbo case [the slide off one] is just a repurposed Razer Core eGPU dock? If it's not, it looks almost identical. Too bad it doesn't have 360mm rad support >
This is NOT What I Expected!

d31 mesh without the screen or ap201
plz help me decide
also if someone knows about availability of d31 in europe ....
If your going to buy D31 without the screen...AP201 is much better because AP201 it has much thicker steel plate then D31so it looks more solid then D31 plus the corners are rounder and the finish touch looks much better then D31.
Good video! Only wish you would use inches and not mm. Merica!!
I have a sudden and irrational desire for a case with analogue gauges.
D31 white mesh is selling in my country for $48
Quite asweet deal imho 9:45
How come front display shows non-existent GPU "7650XT"?
Very very early review sample? 😜
If it HDMI and USB why not just use a USB video adaptor? You could then use a mother board USB header and have a much cleaner install?
it's USB Powered and HDMI Video. It dosent support USB-C Display Port video. Also Most desktop motherboards do not have USB video pass-through.
Th is case has the same price as the ap 201,, I’m torn
you cannot fit a 280 rad on top and a 12mm fan in the front, they are both off by around 1mm~2mm. Top 280 rad can barely be squeezed in with a slim profile fan, provided the VRM heatsink is VERY low as it touches the VRM space and also will require custom sleeved 8 pin connector. Front 12mm fan CANNOT be fitted, screw holes off by 1mm.
wow cant even fit a 12mm fan
just ordered one for a tinker build with my old parts 5800x3d 3080ti
how it go?
@@Zombie101 still waiting on my cooler to get here I ordered a thermalright peerless assassin probably the best air cooler for the price in my opinion. I got bored of doing aio’s but if its not cool enough i have a kracken x72 and cm ml360r on the shelf. I got the case in yesterday and i was very surprised the build quality was better than i expected plus no scratches or dings. I just thought it was different it having a screen plus it can actually fits stuff like a 4090. I just upgraded to a 7950x3d and 4090 and using my old case phanteks evolve x. Also ordered a pack 5 of 120&140 fans from arctic thier cheap but work good and are quiet. I’ll post back when i get it all built to tell you how it went if i had any trouble with the case and the screens quality.
@@ChadKenova hi chad, thanks for the reply. cool! yeah the thermalright is best for the price for sure, otherwise its noctua! interesting that you say the build quality is better than expected, i heard people saying how poor it was, such as tolerances, gaps etc
one thing you could do for me, which would be amazing, is, please can you see if you can fit 3x120 fans bottom and the 1x120mm front fan (ideally want to see if it would be possible if these were all 30mm fans)
lmk how it goes - also, are you using atx or sfx psu?
@@Zombie101 3x120 at the bottom or 2x140 plus a 120mm at the front the top is the same as the bottom plus a 120mm at the back. I hadn’t got inside the case yet but just everything i looked over looked nice even panels no dings or scratches but I guess i will find out when i start on it tomorrow. But just by first impressions there’s nothing bad I noticed so far. And make sure if you get one theres mesh and no mesh models plus a screen less version both. The mesh should be much better for airflow.
@@ChadKenova awesome, let me know about the room for the fans, I'm only interested if it can do 3x 120/30mm fans tbh, deffo mesh version would be the way forward
these features where once implemented way back when now there just LCD screen and want to sell it these feature at a higher cost...
So can I put a 4090fe in here?
yes
10 degrees GPU over the Asus AP201 is huge! I would absolutely not buy this case over the Asus based on that. Were the cases equally ventilated or did the Asus have extra fans. This needs to be clarified for us to get a good idea of the difference in cooling.
The AP201 is a completely mesh case. The GPU just pulls in the air it needs through the mesh side panel. I have a full review on it.
@@ElevatedSystems I saw it, and you had installed more case fans in that build compared to this one - despite having room to do so in the D31 as well. Fans under the GPU will have a huge impact on the GPU temps in other cases too, like the nr200, etc. It's absolutely not a fair comparison and testing setup should be mentioned at the very least, if you don't want to have something similar and as "apples to apples" as possible.
@@hcd05 wow yeah
why show your gpu 7650xt not 6650xt?
it's a 6750XT. A 7650xt does not exist.
@@ElevatedSystems Which is why it's weird that the display is showing 7650xt.
@@MrHamof LOL. Ooops, I didn't even notice with all the B-Roll I shot. I guess Aida64 didn't recognize the GPU type correctly. Or maybe that's a title I mistyped.
That how N4 color looks there's nothing wrong with it lol even vynal wrap on a car with mat black looks the same
That GPU sag is real
Ya, this case can really use a GPU support bracket like the Asus AP201 has.
I got this case and the screen is DOA
I was interested in this case because I am monitor freak and this was a convenient feature and I am able to pull out extra green but the quality has to be top notch - its like paying for expensive coke and ending with speed. No go for me. Too bad, I was really looking forward to these cases. Imo NZXT steam rolls'em.
same, cheap and nasty/ flimsy
@@Zombie101 shame really because the concept is really on point. Too bad that they decided to reduce quality.
@@Adam_Stefaniak I've since heard mixed reviews of this, some say it's built well and others say it's not great with the tolerances etc
@@Zombie101 Above stats quality build of case is priority at least for me. If there are additional features I am willing to pay for them but not at the cost of quality. Once these cases become more accessible from other manufactures the quality will take a stand at some point.
@@Adam_Stefaniak what case do you have at the moment? I am running the s100 thermaltake and tbh i am finding it hard to beat for matx
RX 7650?? XD
That GPU is sagging hard.
Nice review, thanks. That front panel screen is interesting but I'm otherwise not impressed with the build quality.
if it just a secondary screen.. then run Rainmeter and Wallpaper Engine.
wow the sag.....
I would just throw up a BSOD on it and call it a day.
are adult aged humans really impressed by the screen ?:)
Rainmeter is a great option for the panel and free, will give you all the AIDA64 options and save you sixty bucks.
:0
bros gpu saggin all day looooooooooooong
looks like a cheap build quality for the price tag tbh.
It is. It's a $50 case with a $60 display built in. Plus you're paying the import cost from China. Jonsbo dosen't have a retail presence outside of China so retailers import the stuff and pass that cost along to the customer. It's still works out to be a lot cheaper than shipping it individually however.
cheaply built case, it wont last.. cant believe on the plastic clips
It’s much cheaper in Asia than US. At US prices, it is simply not worth it due to its shoddy build quality.
They call it a mesh but it's not mesh....
