Caroline, with the weather you should also add that our summers usually hover around 0-5% humidity but this summer we have been 50+% humidity and we are NOT loving it here in Portland Oregon! I either want it to rain or be dry. I am so sad when I smell the humidity but don't get the rain.... 😂

Pro tip….once you have a serger threaded but might need to change thread….cut the thread at the top and tie the new thread to it and pull it through. This way you just need to thread the needles and not the whole machine. My mother gave me her serger before she passed. It’s great when I actually pull it out to use it lol Love that Miniature Marvels piece!

It gives me goals. I've been in a bad slump for the last couple of months and haven't stitched and barely watched any Flosstube, but things seem to be coming out of the doldrums at last. Great plans Carolyn. I especially love the plans you have with Melanie for 2027. I realized I will be 70 on my birthday in 2027 (Oct). So I may attempt a similar plan but I get a handicap for the additional 20 years over you youngsters. So instead of 50 finishes I will shoot for 20 less or 30 finishes.
So I won’t cheat myself I am only counting medium to large pieces. So I will be sure to mark all my current Wips that qualify before my birthday. Plus any new starts after my Birthday won’t qualify either. It’s a plan. I said it out loud. Thanks for the idea.

Oh, your finish is fantastic! I can see the joy in your eyes but I am not sure if it is a YOW relief or because you love the chart so much. Perhaps a bit of both??? I am not a planner. I think I want to be, but it just doesn't happen. Too many other things pop up that take me away from my plans, like trying to exercise, being on the retreat formation team for November, eating and shopping for better diet and reading. And time for friends and family.... I don't do much home maintenance like you do, but I still don't have enough hours in my day. Let's not forget as an infant teacher, I have gads of work to bring home! I know you understand about that, being a teacher (professor?) yourself. Happy stitching. Enjoy that last week of vacation.
