@@intristang I have only eaten Croatian food at a place in Santa Clara and it was amazing. They also had a market so I bought their sausages and red pepper sauce to bring home. I can’t imagine how wonderful it is there. Someday!!!
One of the BEST parts of living in Mexico was the pastry/bakery quality. EVERY city we visited had excellent French pastry 🥐 are you currently Cuenca based? We considered doing 3 months in Ecuador last year!
@@intristang I'm a NYkr now in Oakland but my dad lived in Quito so I spent some time there. It's Spanish and they use the dollar so it's pretty easy I thought Cuenca was beautiful, nice and a little wet, but it's bit too small townish for me.
@@cachecow !! How are you liking Oakland? I lived in SF for 7 years and only went twice 😅 I did enjoy Shandong and some of the breweries there though! Yeah, Cuenca seemed a little on the small side. It is/was (used to be?) so cheap but guessing this (like everywhere else) has changed
Yeah, I literally never heard of a lot of these places until you booked us to go
Tbf, neither did I 😅 Trebinje and Banja Luka especially
That food looks incredible!! Wish we were in Spain longer so we could head that way.
I wish so, too. We will have to meet up in BA or MX or even Charlotte 😅
OMG YESS! Croatian food is absolutely my exact flavor palette
It’s California cuisine without all the GMOs and pesticides 😆
The red onion anchovy tapa tartine CHANGED MY LIFE
Same 🚣♀️ I think that was probably the best one. The two anchovy ones followed by the first truffle one 💪🏽
@@intristang That onion jam looked amazing. Sometimes it is available at Trader Joe’s and it is great.
@@TamaraSoemali we've been working on perfecting our homemade version but always happy to try a new TJ's product
@@intristang The best part of a great meal is perfecting the recipe so you can enjoy it when ever.
Everything looks amazing👩🏼🍳
It was a good, good month. I am thoroughly enjoying eating in Budapest but the Balkans have some excellent (and cheap! (outside of Croatia) food)

@@TamaraSoemali someday for sure! I enjoyed the food scene in Zagreb more than Dubrovnik personally
@@intristang I agree with Yunji, Croatian food is my palate.
Bread is important!!
I wouldn't live anywhere that didn't have a decent chocolate croissant ....
Took me a bit to find one in Cuenca

So distracted by your stray beard at 0:15 lolol
🧔
OMG same here🤣 I wanted to pluck that stray hair. The beard needs to be tight when your hair is so shaved.
