Merry Christmas. Great topic and video. Being an A/V tech at my church, I have learned how not to tape and how to tape. Gaff tape is awesome. I have used it to keep video cables and computer cables flat on the floor to keep people from tripping over them. That’s the idea here and looks neat and professional.
What I do that makes it look neater faster is opposed to the train tracks initially is a verticle on the ends and horizontal on the middle pieces cause then it runs right over it
DJ Snags from Sydney Australia🇦🇺. Great Vid mate! I especially like the way you roll up your cables at the end in order of NOT twisting them👍. The other method that has been used if the 'half fold' method. It takes a little longer, but there is no twisting of cable involved. Merry Christmas & happy New Year! Let's hope 2021 is gonna be a much better year! 🍺😎🎉🎇
I have a question I Dj outside of people properties like in there backyard where sometimes I am in a dirt area or cement area is there anyway gap tape will still work or what???
Sorry brother, but you are DEAD ASS WRONG on this one. Having worked as a professional AV tech for live events, I can tell you that there is only one “correct” method that is considered the industry standard, and this ain’t it. I’m no longer in that line of work, but if someone had shown up to a new job and claimed to have years of experience in the AV industry, the minute that person started laying down cable the way you just did, they would know he was lying.
100% read my mind Manny C. Bar is almost always on point, but as someone who has worked for an A/V company, walked into stadiums where we would have to quickly/safely/economically run miles of short and long gaff runs (as a low-level tech), I cringed at points watching this video and searched to see if anyone else know or would be honest in the comments. Either way respect to Bar for all of his other amazing content.

Have you ever had a venue tell you that you can’t tape on the floor
Good stuff Barr thank you bro!
Barr. He ido a salones que no quieren tape ni gaffer. Hay que usar rampas o cable guard! Obligado o dejar tirado los cables normal
What's your opinion about going to wireless transmitter and receiver
thank you

Horde your gaff, it’s expensive and it really REALLY likes to walk off on you..
Happy Holidays!
Don't do this you will ruin your cables especially in hot environments. Use rubber mats and tape those down if needed.
Been taping cables down for 21 years and I’ve never ruined a cable. Not once...
Why is it bad to go around your elbow?
First
Black cables on a black carpet…. Yeah, no.
good vid but it['s 'GAFFER' tape not GAFF.......
Lmao same shit just a short way of saying it
