I'm so glad Galactic Criminal recommended this band to you guys. Been watching him for years and this is his favorite band, and mine as well. Their songs can super intense, so not sure if you'd like most of their stuff, but maybe. Also the vocalist (Ben Duerr) does vocals for the band Hollow Prophet as well, and it's even scarier than this, although not by a lot.
Shadow Of Intent's sound is breathtaking! If you're not a fan of the vocals they have all of their tracks in instrumental versions. The atmospheric sound they have is unmatched. Even if you do enjoy the vocals you still should check out the instrumentals it truely makes you respect their sound even more.
Ben Duerr is God like tier vocals. You need to delve more. These guys are actually genius writers. Vocals, instruments, lyrics, composition. If there is any band id say you NEED to listen to the entire discography, its THIS band. The albums are written like classical music. In the flow and the time signatures and with the overall intelligent composition.

And yeah, I too was reminded of Gollum =D About the "young drummer" comment: yeah, young, but not as young as Andy Galeon of *Death Angel* was when they recorded their debut, _The Ultra-Violence_ - *all* the members were still under 20 years old, but Andy was *fourteen* (14)! WHOA! OK, I only got to 10 videos today, but I'll continue tomorrow or later :)

Honestly, their album "Melancholy" from this year is my pick for ALBUM OF THE YEAR! It's that good. Every track is gold. It's CRAZY because this has been the best year for Metal releases in a long time, in my opinion. MANY bands released an album. I put Infant Annihilator's new album as my number 2 of the year, and 3rd is Necroticgorebeast's new album (it has excellent mixing and clarity!). My 4th pick is the new Rings of Saturn album.
@Benobot99 2nd for me, the new Fit For an Autopsy did something to me that an album hadn’t done since Crack the Skye by Mastodon (now my favorite album ever). That said, the new Whitechapel, SoI, and FFAA I believe are all going to become some of my favorites of all time. Great fucking year in metal, plus next year is looking to be a banger as well

I love his channel I also got him into the band alpha wolf he took them in as one of my requests and hasn't regretted it if you guys want to check Alpha wolf check out Golden Gate water break... when he first started his channel he said he wasn't into screaming and death metal vocals he's more of a punk rock guy and now he's a huge metalcore Deathcore fan LOL it's amazing how your musical tastes change just buy a couple of suggestions from fans of the genre
