      @@TheNakidGardeners poultry seasoning, chilli powder, dehydrated garlic powder, onion powder, you name it I am Making my own. I have a iodine allergy so I can’t just buy spices anymore.

    I have the same dehydrator. It can hold 8 trays. I purchased 4 extra trays online. It works great. I can’t wait to get lemons from my tree. Thanks for sharing.😊🍋

    I am looking at portable greenhouses so I can get one in the next month or so. Yours looks like something I can do by myself. I cannot remember ever having this kind of cold weather and snow in our part of Texas. One reason I enjoy your videos is because we are in same growing zone. Stay warm and safe.

      We wanted to make sure we could preserve it with a purpose.
      We LOVE to cook..... We have spent thousands in our lifetime on spices, lemon compliments so many dishes!
      We could of juiced them, froze them in ice trays for fresh use when needed and just dehydrated the skin and used that in a spice mix. We really wanted to take up the least space storing and use it a variety of ways.... We just realized how much we love 1/4 tsp in our tea. 😊

      I make dehydrated hot pepper powder. I love to put it in spaghetti to make it burning hot. I make basil, terragon, whatever I can since I'm allergic to sulphate that are added to all spices to keep them fresh. If the sulphites are under a certain level, they do not have to be included in the ingredients. Love these cooking videos. I want to do this in the future also!!

      @@snugglebunny.jmosbrook You should! We like going back to see what we did like a video diary we are leaving for our kids to have. We both lost our moms, so we know they will treasure it as we would one day!
      I like to let cayenne naturally dry in a paper sack, then grind it up and use it to add to any dish I want some heat in! 😊

    Wow! I dehydrated a bag of sliced lemons and limes and they turned all brown like yours, so I thought I ruined all of them by over-dehydrating them. I put them all in Ball jars and vacuum sealed them. Maybe I should just grind them for powder?

      If we did not dehydrate them that long it would have been not as dark. However, you can smell the great lemony smell it produces still. Yes grind them up and make your own powder.

      We got our Improved Meyer lemon trees from home depot last March. We're not huge fans of the snow, this morning we woke up to our heat not working but we were blessed a technician came on a closed business day to help us and we're warm again!

      More kinds of dried peppers this year. Growing ghost pepper, Puma pepper, alma pepper, paprika, fish pepper, Pumpkin spice jalapeno and lemon spice...Buena mulata, red cherry, big Jim, Tobago seasoning pepper

      @@TheNakidGardeners Not yet! I have a small area between my house and my neighbor’s house that gets enough sun for a summer garden. I’m gathering supplies to set up a container and tower garden this spring. Besides blueberries and strawberries, do you have suggestions for dwarf varieties of fruit trees I can grow in containers? I’m right on the border between Zone 5b and 6A. I don’t have a space to move them inside in the winter right now.

      Yes, it's a natural part of the drying process in my experience. It was a little darker from the oven drying method, i suspect from that heat. It does not compromise the outcome thankfully 😊

      @@TheNakidGardeners always wanted a garden but have just started this fall. I want to learn and change my health with better food. Good (healthy) food is expensive. I'm 58 and disabled since age 38, but I love playing in the dirt, lol. Trying grow worms, kale, turnips, etc. right now. So far things look ok. I think I need to fertilize and water more consistently. That's why I watched your drip water video so intently. Thank you for sharing your journey!

      Yes! I hadn't tested it personally but have seen recipes using the powder, water & sugar or honey to sweeten it....it has an ABUNDANCE of different uses.
