I think you have my same problem (as probably many others without noticing), that is, installing the seat correctly is basically impossible. It has 6 fixation points, one at the front (with the tank), one at the back (the lock) and 4 plastics slots in between. Look at 12:41 or 12:57, the plastic slot has marks because it seats ON its prong but that prong should be IN the slot. Notice also how the seat "pops" out when you turn the key, it's because it is bent and under tension. At 26:39 the resulting gap between seat and fairings is very noticeable. I ended up cutting those 2 plastic slots since I was simply not able to lock in the seat correctly otherwise.
The frame in the seat area it's design to mount two types of seats : a standard seat, like mine, with straight shape in the middpart and a Lower seat version (can be ordered separately from Honda or you can choose it before the purchase which has a big slope in the middpart. Therefore the shape of the frame it's design to fit ALSO this lower seat cersion. This is my explanation after some superficial analysis. 😉
@@IdealBike Check that gap, you can almost slip your hand under the seat when it's on - try also to pull it up when mounted and you'll see that that those 2 slots aren't fitted properly, the seat should rest on the rubber blocks but it doesn't

Honda will always choose a standard and not so comfortable seat, too bag that the Transalp seat was also with a defect from the factory. The guys from Officina delle Toppe did an amazing job

Yes, I sent my seat from Romania to Italy with national post (arrived in 5-7 days) then I recieved it back in almost 2 weeks (7 days was delivery due to national holiday, could have been less otherwise). It depends on the area you are living to make the shipping costs more efficient. In my case the shipping costs were about 25 - 30 EUR.
What review do you want when here I just got the seat? Anyway let me tell you that the seat it's just fantastic after 7000 Km, very comfortable, resistant, strong stitching, the comfort foam still ferm. You can customise your seat as well, here you have your options. Colour still as in the first day, even if it stayed in the sun.
