This aspect post patch is kinda crazy. Channel a few omega specials, then spam omega attacks close range. The o-specials blow up the o-attacks and it does some serious damage
I haven't quite done this, but it sounds insane! It just requires a bit of prep and a lot of mana 😂
Having such slow attacks that only deal 5 damage each is pretty rough.
Did the devs overestimate how strong being able to move while attacking would be?
Not sure, have you seen the update? The attacks are definitely stronger now
The torches are my least favorite. Tried different builds, different strategies, but I just can't get the hang of them.
They are better now than they were! They made some pretty solid improvements. I think they still need some tweaking, but I think they are interesting for sure!

I do like the game a lot so far, but my biggest issue is the weapons. I LOVE using the axe, but honestly find a lot of the other weapons uninteresting. I used the staff a fair bit and enjoy it enough, and the skulls feel good too, but that's basically it. I hope they add something faster paced than the current crop.

I felt the same way at first, but after going back and playing some Hades 1 I would say that all around the weapons are far better. Almost none of them require hammers to be very useable, which was my biggest issue with a lot of weapon aspects in the first game. The skulls post patch have probably the best aspect in the game now, the axe and blades obviously great, the staff is a good all-arounder, and the torches are tough to use but they do deal some massive damage

@@j11889zeus omega cast charges up your extended special really fast (the glory), but up to you what to do for the rest of it. basically any percentage based special is solid, and then throw on origination for 50% more damage. it really works with just abouut anything, id just experiment. But i find hera's special super effective bc it spreads her hitch curse well. plus she is just great all around in many areas

That's fair! I think it's hard to judge at this point. They are going to a do a bunch more tweaking before the full release. Bows felt really slow in Hades 1 in early access, but now they are super fast and powerful
So I beat 2 runs, one with demeter one with poseidon on special. Tried to make the attack work but it´s just too weak imo. So I just spam special, get myself a pretty good cast aswell and tons of survivability because your special doesn´t stagger and then pray.
How do you feel about it after the most recent update?
@@JawlessPaul I put the game on hold for the time being. Have about 30 hours and thought I just wait for 1.0 for now.
