3:15 hear me out.... The engine cover as brass color like on Hondas. Right?? Wouldnt the be sick. Also, i love how much detail you go into the walkthrough of every bit of it. Even enormous channels just do 1 shot of it from the side, dont even notice half the details, and just move on to the ride.
When you seen the HP numbers that should’ve told you everything. Lol The R6 is a track bike that people ride on the street. The R7 is a street bike that can be ridden on the track. If you looking for a direct replacement for the R6 then the R7 isn’t not what your looking for.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed low sales numbers for the R6 meant that Yamaha had to move in a different direction. I think the confusion comes because of the name. Most people would think that a 700cc bike would have more power than a 600cc counterpart. I have them both and for city driving I get more out of the R7 than I do the R6 simply because of the TQ. To be honest, they’re equally fast until you get around 75/80mph. (After that it’s over)
Makes sense. This is basically a sporty version of the MT07. For me being a big fan of my R6, it's sad to see it go away. Such an iconic bike! R7 is all you need on the streets for sure. But I and other R6 riders love the race bike feel!
Oh my bad, in Europe 18 year olds are allowed to ride bikes that are restricted to 47 ish hp. So basically I'm wondering if the r7 is a good beginner bike (out of the other bikes that exist) for someone whose ridden 125cc. @@BrosFOURRSpeed
@@itsyaboishiba It’s a perfect beginning bike for sure. Anything around this CC is good, just depends on the brand you want and which one you like best! I’ve never heard of that, in the US, you can ride any CC bike with a permit at 15 years old.
This will feel like a step down. It's a great bike, but doesn't have that race bike vibe. So could depend on what you are looking for out of it. Feels like a bigger R3 or MT07
Enjoy your videos- Although, it's rather confusing, bc I see ALOT of people pushing this as a track bike, and how well it performs on the track w it's broad range of power, and handling, yet, you said a few tunes in your video that you don't see it as a track bike. Is your version of a track a drag strip? No sarcasm intended, it's a serious question as I've seen alot of content raving about this bike for trackdays, and they feel that's 1 of its design intents.
ua-cam.com/video/pRD5KhWUdiE/v-deo.html Heres my comparison against the R6. The R6 redlines near 18k RPM vs this at like 10k. The R6 is true track bike with that race engine high RPM type of power. This has the same engine as the MT07. Which is more of an entry level performance bike. THe R7 doesnt have even remotely the power of an R6 and just is not a track focused machine. It handles great and would be fun for the casual track day. But the R6 would smoke it around a race track all day since it's a genuine race bike. This is a good sporty bike with great handling and plenty of power for the road. But it just isnt a race bike like an R6
People are comparing r7 and r6 which is not fair as one is an inline 4 and the other a parallel twin. So of course r6 will red line higher. But that does not mean you cannot go on a track with this bike. The point of a track bike is it's design .. more than its engine capacity. R7, when set up well, will dip into corners very quickly. since it's a very manageable power band, it will instill great confidence for a novice or intermediate rider. Also since it's not the most powerful, u can brake a little less and a little later and still carry great corner entry speed to rival most 600cc bikes. This bike added a brace to it's chassis/swingarm to stiffen it up so that it can corner well under decent forces acting on the bike. Is it the best? No. Is it a great bike with lot of track based utility? Yes! Less electronics, suspension can be configured , parts are easy to get and cheap.( These are important for track days). It's not a pissing contest with bikes. Find the correct utility for the machine and it will deliver
Only for racetrack, you would never be able to get up to the highest speed on street, no point on having a fast fucking bike if you can’t get it up to max speed and i doubt you’ll be going to the racetrack everyday to race your bike let alone weekly
The R7 was built for women.... It's literally all over their marketing campaign, sucks that they castrated their superbikes and alienated their main consumer demographic.
Ironically the owner of this one is a woman lol. But yeah sucks to see the race inspired R6 go away. R7 is a sporty version of the MT07. So I guess the R1 is the road bike with the race pedigree the enthusiast will want.
they castrated their superbikes because nobody was buying them, R6 sales began to tank and Yamaha had no choice to kill it off. Blame the consumer not Yamaha.
@@moisesojeda1085 Yeah, because when your government doesn't allow you to sell, that means customers don't want to buy (sarcasm).
