Diving Blairgowrie Marina - 2 Jan 2022

Blairgowrie Marina is possibly one of the best shore dives on Port Phillip Bay! It's a fantastic site for photographers, due to the abundant macro life. The pier pylons and sea wall are heavily encrusted with really colorful sponges - (when you're under the pier, look up!) and are home to many seahorses and nudibranchs - The nooks and crannies have also made great homes for numerous species of rays, as well as octopus, squid and cuttlefish. (Check out the bull ray at 01:29 and 04:47 !) There's also the usual flathead and goatfish fossicking around.
Water temp 21 deg (summer!) Depth b/w 2 - 7 metres - best at high tide!
