@@acubii The lecturer was a close friend as he wrote my reference - Dr Rana, I also had help from the admissions lead but if you do you’re not allowed to apply to Aston
@@DaanishMahmood ah thanks btw! i’m not sure if i’m even able to attend to the open days but how was your overall experience with the teaching, the campus and just general experience in aston?
@@acubii 10/10 I think the teaching was decent, I had a few lecturers I really enjoyed. The university campus is vibes, a mosque, a nice library, food places close by, greenery, all within 5 min walk. & yeah it’s something like that because if I applied to Aston there would be bias when interviewing me since I worked with the team - something like that 😅
@@DaanishMahmood ah i see! i’ve got a few unis in mind for biomed but definitely aston is my top choice so it’s nice to hear about your experience. i’m aware applying for medicine after is a bit of a challenge but i’ll take it😅 and also before choosing biomed, did you have eyes on choosing biochemistry too? cause i initially was going to apply for biochem but now im leaning more towards biomed
Hey, it says in the link below "this requirement may be satisfied in individual cases by appropriate courses of study and achievement during the first degree." If the degree you have studied covers biology/chemistry (like Biomedical Science does) then you can bypass needing a grade B 😄 Contact the admissions directly and ask them about your specific situation. if you think you can get the best grades after resitting and you just narrowly missed out on your grades, its a v good choice that will incur the least financial costs and will only take a year.
i rarely see med videos like this, thank u so much for sharing !
Glad you liked it! :)
I loved the bloopers and your Aberdeen experience a year ago 👌
"I went into my MMI with no preparation"😂

@@ikodeagbi9493 A word of advice - even if you marginally miss the requirements, give the admissions a call because the websites can be vague at times
Very very helpful information… thanks a lot.
Do you think I should resit my a levels if I did bad.

Yes this would be the best option, it’s better to resit than to incur the cost of a degree with no guarantee of that working out.
