yeah, as an umpire, they have a game to manage. A quick word to explain a decision is fair enough, but after the first time the player is now preventing the umpire from getting the game moving. I counted 5 times the player said something to the umpire in that passage of play. At that point he's just harassing the umpire and it's not productive for anyone. As for the call that lead to it - 100% correct. If you look at the mowing strip, Sicily has run almost 10m off his line before he attempts to kick the ball. An umpire will give you a couple of steps, but that's just taking the mickey
@@mxch1n umpires need to toughen up, make good calls and don’t be bias and then there will be no need for players to get angry, the umpires have a cry over the smallest thing a player says!

This one annoys me because regardless of what you think of the call leading up to it, it is one of the clearest dissent calls you will ever see. You can literally see the player dissenting and having a go at the umpire. You don't even need to hear what he said
The last one was insane. Not aggressive, just complete puzzlement at the umpire’s incredibly confusing decision not to to recognise the most obvious push in the pack imaginable. Yeah umpires are only human but so are players!
You should never be allowed to disrespect an umpire no matter what has happened before. However, if you are questioning and clarifying the reasoning behind a call that should be okay.
Questioning is fine as long as it is quick and respectful. If you are just disagreeing or arguing with the umpire then there's no point and the umpire has a game to adjudicate and needs to move on. Same if the player comes back two or three times then it's beginning to interrupt the game and the umpire will only have so much patience, particularly if they are coming back to argue
being an umpire isn't easy, a lot of people forget the rpessure they are under because of their support for 'x' club, me included, but this dissent rule is an absolute crock of shit, especially for calls like the St Kilda holding the ball one...

Wdym the call for 50? 50 was good
