I have 4 tote in my collection. The LV Neverfall, Goyard, Celine Cabas and Faure Le Page. I don't baby any of my totes during daily use and I don't store any of them in the cloth bags when not in use. They're all holding up great. My Celine tote is my go to in my collection. The runner up is my the Faure, Goyard and Neverfall for quality. As for custom service, I never had a problem with any of the luxury houses. All awesome experiences. I recommend all my totes, but in the end its all a matter of personal preferences.
That is the exact opposite experience that I’ve had with Faure Le Page. I’ve purchased two bags and I have the one you have. I seriously toss it around and use it as a work horse. I have ZERO wear and tear! Also, both times, they gave me a business card with a phone number for my sales associate and it’s Whatsapp friendly so, it’s free to contact them. I would definitely still use both bags if I were you. I mean, I take care of my bags too because they are not inexpensive but also, I just would hate for them to collect dust. Best of luck!
LUXANDPUPS I was hoping that is the experience I would have but it’s the exact opposite. I am currently afraid to use the bag as I think the crack will get worse. I am looking into my own way to fix it but am sooo disappointed in the brand and the customer service. No one has ever given me contact information. I hope more people have experiences like you! Cuz that’s how it should be!
Bargain.hunting.blonde hi! I have a contact info for watsapps info for my SA at the boutique in France if you would like to contact them! I think they would be more than happy to help you! Please reach out to me at @makeupmaven11 on ig for her info if you would like it :)
Physically it’s not usual for coated canvas to have a sharp slit like that meaning it’s brittle that it split. It’s not crack, otherwise it would automatically crack all over or even flake off. You said that you take to work, is it possible that someone from work had access to it and it was accidental cut or I hate say it but deliberately cut? Sometimes coworkers can be very envious and can take their emotions out on unattended objects. It looks like a box cutter could have caused it.
I’m sorry this happened and totally understand your dismay and disappointment. If you visit Paris again, may I suggest that you consider the Moynat tote. My sister in law bought it in Paris last year for 30% off U.S. retail, including VAT refund ($1000 vs $1500). She’s used it as her everyday bag, packed with a ton, and it’s held up beautifully. Moynat has a handful of boutiques in the U.S.
I have had the best customer experience with FLP so much that I bought 5 daily battle bags from them since 2015..( 3 DB37, 1 DB 41 and 1 DB 32 ) excluding their SLGs. I don’t baby my bags and literally toss it around. I find that their bag qualities and stitching are so good compared to my neverfull MM which i had problem with the lacquering in less than a year after purchasing in London. So sorry to hear about your experience.
Regina Yeo I think so people have had great experiences and that is why I was soo bummed! After about 7 months (and this video) they did replace the bag but honestly I was so turned off by my experience I haven’t used it yet. But I am hoping once quarantine is over then I’ll break it back out
I hope I don’t have a bad experience-I plan to buy the navy one. I have the LV neverful and have had it for about 10 years but it’s smaller than the Faure 41-I plan to use my Faure as my travel tote. Now I want to wait and purchase in person when I travel to Europe next year but I bet the price will increase.
I had a terrible experience with Faure Le Page. Bought a zip battle from the paris boutique like you, but the stitching inside came unstitched after a month. Took three months and far too many emails to get it replaced- i even emailed FLP directors on LinkedIn and directly who received the emails but didn't reply!
I think the problem is if you aren’t near a store you are kinda screwed. It took me forever to get ahold of someone and tbh I think the only reason they reached out to me was because of the video.
Unfortunate that this happened to you. But my experience with the brand is directly opposite with yours. The canvas is tough enough for me to wear daily. I mean we will never know what really happened to the bag. So we leave it as it is. I guess you know which brands to buy from next time . But guys dont get discouraged to buy unless you havent personally experienced how the workmanship of the bags Are,and I speak for all the brands
I completely agree with you! Everyone will have different experiences. I think I was really very very disappointed in the customer service. If you watch my unboxing I was sooo excited about the bag and the quality. I think the customer service issues I had might have something to do with me not being able to go to the store and having to communicate by email. Thank you for watching!
Sorry to hear your negative experience! Fauré is still considered a French "local" brand name and it helps if you tell the company that you wish to have it repaired at your own expense. They would do that for you! The pattern printing on the canvas is very fine and that is why it costs more than regular tote bags.
EUDES / ODO KING De FRANCE I offered to pay for it and they told me their was no way to repair it. I have since been in contact with them and I am hoping to come to a solution! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing your experience with their costumer service. The costumer service means a lot to me when purchasing luxury / expensive items. Reading from the comments, I am happy that they finally fix it, though I still don't like the fact that they fix it after this video came out.
Hey I know this was a long time ago but I feel your pain! I returned and FLP bag I had bought online and requested a refund (I decided it was too small and wanted the next size up). I had tracking on the bag..I can see it arrived safely over 3 weeks ago, I have emailed and dm’d them 10 times since then, and have had zero response. I’m getting so worried now as I literally have no way to escalate this. If they don’t reply? And they were replying when I requested the return so I know they’re getting my messages. I was planning to buy a larger size but I’ll never buy from them again. It’s a huge amount of money which is my right to get back. So worrying. I honestly don’t know what to do next!! X
Oh no!! I am sorry this is happening to you. Are you also based in the US? I think if you are, our only recourse is email and DMs. Do they have a WhatsApp number? You could also try that.
@@bargain.hunting.blonde thank you so much for replying- I’m in the UK..but can only see email / dm as an option. I’ll try and investigate the WhatsApp number too though thank you! X
Thank you for this review! I have an LV neverful and kind of kick myself for not holding out for a FLP daily battle because FLP is “cooler” “rarer” etc and I’ve heard the quality is better as LV quality was suspiciously going down when I got mine in 2018. Well I know it’s only 3 years later but my LV neverful has traveled with me on airplanes, had been packed with diapers and toddler belongings, tech supplies, bumped other bags and buggies, lived in crowded museums before covid-19, still remains pretty new looking, even with the pink ballerine inside and Damier azur canvas. It’s the wallet that got destroyed by a pen in another bag :( at least I’m wise enough to not carry a pen in my neverful. Now I appreciate it, it must suck to see canvas peel off of such a beautiful and expensive bag. But yeah, I kept hearing that FLP daily battle was a superior tote, but I think it’s just bc it isn’t as accessible/looks different, kwim?
I love my neverfulls but not going to lie the faure le page should be more durable. It has leather corner protector, and adjustable thicker straps. I still carry my neverfulls more but that’s because I just had such a bad experience with faure le page. So I honestly think it superior especially compared to the newer neverfulls
Who did you had contact with? I know they don't always respond very quick as they are a small business but they always were very happy to help me and offered me a very good solution for problems with my Express 36. The quality of Fauré Le Page is amazing and I love their quality and eye for details. You can't compare the brand with Louis 'Plastique' as their canvas is pure PVC... . I am happy to help with finding a solution to have your bag repaired!
Wim Janssens my only source of contact was the customer service through the online customer service questionnaire. I was just recently emailed again and I hope we can work something out 🤞🏻but disappointed it’s taken months posts on Instagram and on UA-cam to gain anyone’s attention. I am going to make another video when everything has settled with the final outcome
Best thing still in modern days: take the phone and call... . We are to used to new communication methods but is is the easiesr way to communicate and solve issues. I would have called the Vendôme boutique which I also did when I had problems with my Express 36 and which is all settled now. I have three pieces, all with the black leather and I love them. I did buy last Saturday the Back Pack in the largest size at the Cambon Boutique and I love this item! It's pure luxury for connaisseurs, not what Vuitton is now these days. You see it everywhere and that is such a pity...
I mention in my video I would have called but they don’t make an number available online. I now have a number after some emails back and forth which I agree has helped a lot! Even though it’s very expensive for me to call from the states 🙈
I owned my daily battle for almost 5 yrs and I had completely opposite experience! Mine is still really new, pretty much no wear and tear, I even once spilled whole cup of coffee and it didn’t even came out. I was really impressed with the quality. And really disappointed how they handled this, I am always afraid their quality will go down now they are producing more, you should keep communicating with the boutique about this issue, they need to properly fix it!
They did eventually fix it but it was quiet a fight and they really didn’t do anything till after the video came out 🤦🏼♀️ as a I mention I am not sure if that’s because there is no boutique for me to go to in person in the US but I did eventually get a new bag... that I am now afraid to use 🙃
You saved me! I was just about to order a Battle 27 online but ffter last month with everything breaking on me, the last thing I need is another project. I love the style but can't handle bad customer service. Thanks for taking the time to post this video!
Uitah Dique I really hope mine was a one off! I was soo impressed with mine- if you see my older battle of the totes I thought it was better than my neverfull and goyard tote but then it ripped
@@bargain.hunting.blonde For sure, I am absolutely impressed with the quality of mine. It makes Louis Vuitton and unfortunately, Goyard feel very cheap. (Which is why I've stuck to Le Page and Chanel...but thats just my opinion... :> )
Hello! I was watching some other videos on Faure and I think the UA-camr mentioned that your issue with the bag has been resolved and you received a replacement bag? Is that true? Hope it is! Thank you for your videos!
Yes! It took a couple of months, much follow up on my part and a UA-cam video to get fixed but it did! They replaced the bag. I filmed another video discussing that. Thank you for watching 😊
Jeez that's horrible! I just got a Michael Kors bag repaired for warranty because the strap was cracking, and the process took a month. It was simple, easy, and clear. That's absurd that such an expensive bag doesn't give you any options. Edit: Also, I sent them the link to your video in a DM and they said "Thanks, we are aware." That kind of snarky attitude is going to hurt their launch in the US market. I was amazed.
Oogle at Luxury thank you for reaching out to them! After about 7 months they did replace my bag and I am going to film an update this weekend. But I really think without the video nothing would have happened 😞
Hi, I don't mean to come off as rude, but since the money is spent, you might want to try a leatherworking place that could perhaps patch the bag discreetly from the inside. It's better to find a way to get use out of it rather than have it sit as a sad momento. Wish you luck!
Nina N not rude at all! I did find someone to repair the bag (purse rehab on Instagram) but faure le page actually came through and replaced the bag. I will be filming an updated video on the process soon.
I got my DB tote in the Taiwan boutique. The edge paint on the handles cracked after 2 months (common issue) and I had to ship the bag back to the store - using my national postal service. Communication took over a month over Whatsapp - they don't really have a "repair" service it felt like. I basically got a brand new tote, and they reimbursed my shipping expense with their local currency in CASH (yes, they mailed me cash back with the bag). It was a pain the butt! I also emailed the customer service @ France twice and they snail emailed me back saying I have to deal with the boutique I purchased my bag from. Story didnt end there, I bought another wristlet from them (via their online shop) and it came with a crack on the leather. Not to mention they used a cardboard envelope; no box whatsoever, yet charged people 20 euro for shipping. I emailed FLP CS (again) and this time took them over 2 weeks to reply back. It sucks when there's so much history attached to this brand, yet their CS is huge disappointment.
Oh no!!! I am soo sorry that happened to you. I noticed that when you aren’t near a store to just take the bag back, they struggle a lot with customer service. And I completely agree I love the look of the products and the history but just had a really really bad experience overall.
Hi may I know if you ended up having to go back to the store you got from both times for the issues? I’m hesitant to buy now because of this cracked edge thing which I’ve seen on a few of these.
If you fully watch my video I state I may have ripped it and because of that I was willing to pay to have it repaired. But customer service did not get back to me. Please fully watch before making unfounded comments.
I am not sure what happened! As I mentioned in the video I asked the company if it was something I could pay to have them fix or if they had any recommendations for people who could repair it but no one every got back to me till this video was released. I was definitely willing to pay for repairs but was shocked at the lack of customer service.
that sucks, but bags are meant to be used. all these worries about scratches and cuts are pointless. buy preowned and wear the bag into the ground. you'll have more satisfication and peace of mind that way.
Sorry about your bad experience -- sounds to me like lazy and unprofessional service. I learnt about the brand recently since they opened a boutique in Singapore, and was looking to get a cardholder...but I don't know now haha. Hope you'll manage to resolve this issue one way or another. Happy 2020!
Debbie Gandy I recently got ahold of the brand again (after the video and like 1 Instagram posts) and they think it is actually a fault in the canvas and are now working with me to fix it!
Sorry to hear about your bag , I was actually looking at this bag and that same color way yesterday . If you want to get your bag fixed , check out purse rehab and leather surgeons . Happy 2020
Thank you for watching! I am currently trying to work with the brand (because of course after the video they do something 🙄) but if not I am thinking both of those places are good options to fix it!
Thank you for this video! I was about to place my order for the bag and gun pouchette. Just ordered a balenciaga set for Christmas instead. It’s hard with customer service outside of US. You can’t go in person to complain.
If u paid using a credit card, u can call their Visa Dispute within a year, I think, & they will put a hold on the charge & deal w/them. Shoddy merchandise is a deal breaker, esp w/in months! Maybe it's too late to do this, but making this video helps the cause. I hope the company has seen yr review.
Oh a whole year? For some reason I thought once you paid off your card that month (and paid the charge) that was it! But after this video they did reach out to me and sent me a new bag. But it was months later. Thank you for watching 😊
@@josephscanni4362 I've been amazed how Visa will work hard for the customer if they are unhappy w/their purchases. I was told by someone at the credit card company that when u dispute something u bought, the retailer has to pay about $50 at least upfront to deal w/a claim & then submit a lot of paperwork w/that. Yes, times do vary, but always worth a try. Sometimes u don't always catch the problem.
So sorry that you have had such a terrible experience now associated with your honeymoon. That doesn’t speak well of the brand especially given the cost. Unfortunately, this is probably the reason why this is not a well known brand in the US. I hope you had a peaceful holiday 🙏🏼
My Point of View luv, EMME I am not sure why they are not in the US. I always wondered as they are older than goyard and Louis Vuitton. Maybe it is because they don’t want to provide good customer service 🤣
@@bargain.hunting.blonde Fauré le page was a renowned weapon manufacture before they started making leather goods. so it is not older than Goyard, Vuitton
Marc SARS yes which is why it’s actually an older brand than Goyard and Louis Vuitton. (1717 was Faure Le Page, 1853 was Goyard, and 1854 was LV) But I get what you are saying they didn’t always make luxury goods! I’ll be clearer next time 😊
The goyard tote (the popular st louis tote) is famous for wearing out quickly at the corners and breaking at the straps (they are not attached to the bag in the same way that most higher end brands are) Goyard SL tote's biggest appeal is the aesthetic and the slouchy versatility, and light weight, BUT that's also the same reason why the bag is less durable compared to other high-end canvas bags) Just google and you will see common stories of the same weaknesses of the bags. Goyard canvas does not 'look pretty' with age, esp for the brighter colors like red. Wear and tear will be more visible. Not pretty when you have a wallet/key holder out on a table at lunch. Almost feel a little embarrassed, not at the wear and tear, but at how EXPENSIVE it is AND yet is wears down 'like that'. Almost like saying "money NOT well spent".. Bummed because I do LOVE the Goyard aesthetic (more than FLP) , but the wear and tear... 🤷 Speaking from experience. Am thinking of switching to FLP tote next time because the quality/value for money seems better. But that's just me.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I can understand how upset you were after jumping through so many hoops, only to be invalidated by this "heritage brand." I was planning on purchasing two bags from FLP after I discovered it at Galleries Lafayette, but thanks to your video, they will no longer receive my business. Premium prices require premium quality and premium customer service. If a company fails to deliver on those fronts -- goodbye! There are PLENTY of other companies that will provide quality and service! Thanks again for sharing, really appreciate your honesty!
Tina Ahuja I am glad this video could help someone. I was really disappointed with the customer service! You know it’s bad when I thought to myself even LV would have done better than this 😒
Sorry that your experience was such, but if you can’t do anything about it then sell the bag or just use it. It makes zero sense that you would just leave it the back of your closet. Despite your review, I’m still going to give the brand a chance based on the comments of others.
tinab0bina a new bag is on its way to me! There was some hold up at customs. I am happy with the outcome but wonder if without the video nothing would have happened.
Pennywise and PoundFoolish haha! I mean honestly for how much these bags cost you should be able to be as hard and clumsy as you want and they survive imo
She's The Posh I am just so disappointed. Like I know with preloved I won’t always get good customer service but this was a new bought in boutique bag so I was expecting better.
Jeffrey Bhaskarla I know some people have had better experiences but most of them have been near a boutique and since I live in the US I don’t have one near me. I would recommend LV or Goyard over faure le page!
Thank you for sharing this horrible customer service experience from this brand. I understand your sentiment and wholeheartedly agree. Take care, xox, Lorna
Pic or photo or image speaks a 1000... ur verbal description had offered too much beating around the bush... Up close the damage would do a precise job according to ur title..appreciate the sharing
Caroline c I was so disappointed and I am not sure it comes crossed in this video. Like I know it’s just a bag but it was a lot of money for them to just be like too bad. I am glad I can help someone else avoid what happened to me and thanks for watching!
For me it was not! I have the bag still (since the brand replaced it) but the lack of customer service is my problem with the brand. I was willing to pay to fix the bag but couldn’t even get a response from the brand which was unfortunate.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with FLP. I have several bags and small accessories, all purchased from the Paris boutique. Customer service and quality have always been excellent. Also, if you are going to “call out” a company, it would have more credibility if you at least pronounced the name correctly!
I am glad you have had a great experience! I unfortunately did not and wanted to share what I personally experienced when I had an issue with my bag. And as I state in most of my videos I do not speak French so feel free to correct my pronunciation if you do.

You saved me! I was just about to order a Battle 27 online but ffter last month with everything breaking on me, the last thing I need is another project. I love the style but can't handle bad customer service. Thanks for taking the time to post this video!
The bad customer service was shocking to me because I did have a good in store experience. I just wish more brands valued customer service.
One of the best bag..i love my daily battle and serves its purpose well
Sorry you had that experience, I am honestly impressed with the quality of mine?
@@bargain.hunting.blonde oh good! I was hoping they will make it right for you! 💜
Also i am so glad Michael Kors had such a straight forward process with repairs! All brand should be like that
Hi, I don't mean to come off as rude, but since the money is spent, you might want to try a leatherworking place that could perhaps patch the bag discreetly from the inside.
@@bargain.hunting.blonde That's a wonderful outcome! Glad they FINALLY came through for you.
Plus I cannot believe they straight up mailed you cash!!!
Hi may I know if you ended up having to go back to the store you got from both times for the issues? I’m hesitant to buy now because of this cracked edge thing which I’ve seen on a few of these.
@@bargain.hunting.blonde how’s the bag for you now? Any issues so far with the new bag?
Nothing rips by itself! You ripped it!
If you fully watch my video I state I may have ripped it and because of that I was willing to pay to have it repaired. But customer service did not get back to me. Please fully watch before making unfounded comments.
Huge thank you for finding your video, your honestly and most of all, for SAVING me (all your viewers) $$! 😉
I am glad it was helpful! I still love the look of the bag but the quality was not there for me 🤷🏼♀️
Are you on F B or I G? Pls let me know. I am a luxury artisan and happy to help you fix this and make it usable again.
I am on IG! Bargain.hunting.blonde. I did get this bag eventually replaced but would love to have your contact info for other bags 😊
Maybe you bumped the bag somewhere that cause the cut, if that is so, just bring the bag to bag fixers.
I am not sure what happened! As I mentioned in the video I asked the company if it was something I could pay to have them fix or if they had any recommendations for people who could repair it but no one every got back to me till this video was released. I was definitely willing to pay for repairs but was shocked at the lack of customer service.
I’d ship to Rago Brothers. They do amazing work.
They do! Luckily after I made this video the brand replaced the bag
that is very frustrating... so sorry this happened to you. hoping someone will still ff up and contact you
that sucks, but bags are meant to be used. all these worries about scratches and cuts are pointless. buy preowned and wear the bag into the ground. you'll have more satisfication and peace of mind that way.
I’m like you in how I use my bag and how I care for my bags. Thank you for your video and honesty!
Yes bags are meant to be used! Thank you for watching 😊
Sorry about your bad experience -- sounds to me like lazy and unprofessional service. I learnt about the brand recently since they opened a boutique in Singapore, and was looking to get a cardholder...but I don't know now haha. Hope you'll manage to resolve this issue one way or another. Happy 2020!
Jeremiah after the video and all the Instagram posts the brand finally responded so fingers crossed it all works out well!
So what happened to cause the crack?
Debbie Gandy I recently got ahold of the brand again (after the video and like 1 Instagram posts) and they think it is actually a fault in the canvas and are now working with me to fix it!
Sorry to hear about your bag , I was actually looking at this bag and that same color way yesterday .
If you want to get your bag fixed , check out purse rehab and leather surgeons .
Happy 2020
Thank you for watching! I am currently trying to work with the brand (because of course after the video they do something 🙄) but if not I am thinking both of those places are good options to fix it!
Bargain.hunting.blonde I hope the best option will workout for you!
Thank you for this video! I was about to place my order for the bag and gun pouchette. Just ordered a balenciaga set for Christmas instead. It’s hard with customer service outside of US. You can’t go in person to complain.
Joey Cuskaden I also bought the gun pochette and haven’t used it due to the canvas cracking issue. I think the Balenciaga was a better choice 😊
I love love love my FLP and my Goyard ❤❤❤❤
I sadly don’t love either! But I think that’s the great thing about fashion and handbags- there is something for everyone!
Some cards are up to 180 days from purchase date, so call your cc company and get further information and see where you can go from there
@@josephscanni4362 I've been amazed how Visa will work hard for the customer if they are unhappy w/their purchases. I was told by someone at the credit card company that when u dispute something u bought, the retailer has to pay about $50 at least upfront to deal w/a claim & then submit a lot of paperwork w/that. Yes, times do vary, but always worth a try. Sometimes u don't always catch the problem.
Just use it, it's a beautiful bag and that little flaw does not even show. May as well get use out of it
So sorry that you have had such a terrible experience now associated with your honeymoon.
I’ll be clearer next time 😊
Thank you! I was just about to buy one... getting Goyard instead now
I know others have had good experiences with the brand but I really didnt! Thank you for watching and hope you love the goyard!
Sorry you've been having such a tough month.
It’s not been the greatest but I am hoping December is better!
has it occurred to you that maybe someone tried to cut your bag and steal?
You know it’s bad when I thought to myself even LV would have done better than this 😒
@@bargain.hunting.blonde Aww. Thank you again. Happy holidays!
Sorry that your experience was such, but if you can’t do anything about it then sell the bag or just use it. It makes zero sense that you would just leave it the back of your closet. Despite your review, I’m still going to give the brand a chance based on the comments of others.
Did you & FLP finally come to a solution?
tinab0bina a new bag is on its way to me! There was some hold up at customs. I am happy with the outcome but wonder if without the video nothing would have happened.
I can’t deal with brands that only give quality service because you posted a bad review/video. I’m hard on my bags and I’m clumsy🤣
Pennywise and PoundFoolish haha! I mean honestly for how much these bags cost you should be able to be as hard and clumsy as you want and they survive imo
Appreciate your honesty. Sucks this happened. This is def nothing you did. 😔
She's The Posh I am just so disappointed. Like I know with preloved I won’t always get good customer service but this was a new bought in boutique bag so I was expecting better.
I was about to buy it for my wife. Now I’m not.
Jeffrey Bhaskarla I know some people have had better experiences but most of them have been near a boutique and since I live in the US I don’t have one near me. I would recommend LV or Goyard over faure le page!
Disappointing to hear omg. Further disheartening I was looking to invest in this brand this season woww
European service ethics ?
exas4791 sorry I am not sure how I missed this. Maybe! Even though with other European brands I have had great service 🤷🏼♀️
@@bargain.hunting.blonde No problem 🙂
Thank you for sharing this horrible customer service experience from this brand. I understand your sentiment and wholeheartedly agree. Take care, xox, Lorna
Pic or photo or image speaks a 1000... ur verbal description had offered too much beating around the bush...
Up close the damage would do a precise job according to ur title..appreciate the sharing
Why do you need to work literally all day? Let the money works for you not vice versa.. and sorry for your Faurē La Page.
Thank you. I won’t be buying their garbage
Caroline c I was so disappointed and I am not sure it comes crossed in this video. Like I know it’s just a bag but it was a lot of money for them to just be like too bad. I am glad I can help someone else avoid what happened to me and thanks for watching!
It's not worth it
For me it was not! I have the bag still (since the brand replaced it) but the lack of customer service is my problem with the brand. I was willing to pay to fix the bag but couldn’t even get a response from the brand which was unfortunate.
Hi just saved me because I was about to buy this bag😰
#newsubbie Such a nice pleasant personality and super articulate. KEEP THEM COMING Dolling 💕
Keys MateriaL thank you!
Yes because we know how well the French pronounce other countries brands. Double standards much?
🤍🖤🤍 Oh no what a horrible experience so disappointing. It’s hard to know how it happened or where it came from :(
