The Mool Mantar (Ek Onkar Satnam Karta Purakh…) is the first scripture found in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It is the first thing I learnt about Sikhi and God when I was growing up. The Mool Mantar is known to be a high summary of the overall consciousness of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and I recall my grandparents and parents always urging me to chant the Mool Mantar. I suppose this is the case in every Sikh household and it has become part of our culture our DNA.
So for my first kids video I wanted to have the Mool Mantar as a sing-a-long with the words right there on the screen so kids could sing along to it and learn this beautiful sacred writings of Guru Nanak Ji.
