When I used to own a S15, I got the same issue as well. I think its because SR20DET runs very hot together with the old plastic tech that they use for fuse coupling. So when the plastic melt onto the wiring, it will short circuit. My one didn't happen immediately like this car, one by one lose power starting from headlamp, aircon then finally meter and engine kaput.
