My headcanon for The Nightmare was that it was created to fight in Space, potentially to fight threats like Ridley. My reasons are: 1) this game came out when Super Metroid was released, which features Federation forces fighting the Space Pirates on a Space Station. The Federation doesn’t seem to have an effective counter to attacks to space stations… Additionally, a project like the Nightmare would likely take years to develop, which would fit the timeline 2) The Nightmare is portrayed as existing in frozen environments. During the battle it starts melting as its body is heated, both by the cooling system’s damage and the attacks of Samus. Space is not very warm 3) its body is fully enclosed in armor and it seemed to have avoided infection for quite a while (I believe it was infected right before it smashed up Sector 5) suggesting it was well sealed. Perfect for a vacuum 4) it can manipulate/increase gravity, which is perfect for combat where there is no gravity 5) Ridley’s clone’s husk was on the station, potentially for cloning
I love the idea in Fusion that Galactic Federation HQ was working on reverse-engineering Samus' suit abilities in data form. Which means they have copies of those now, along with who-knows-how-many derivatives
Dear mister oatsnboats thank you for uploading these videos. Been working nights so haven't caught a stream in along while. And most importantly... how's Aniv? Is he ok? You haven't been teaching him any bad words have you!
Your chat were the toxic ones man. Good stream and loved listening to you read the text unlike most speed runners, what makes a good lore talk. Keep up with the amazing things you’ve done in Dread as well🙏❤️
My 6th grade Pee Wee Pop Warner football coach was super hardcore about winning. The guy used to be in the army and treated us how you see in the movies lol. We lost every game and tied one for some reason 😂
The choppy voice filter at the beginning... ouch. Knowing little about the issue, my totally qualified guess would be to: Try turning it off, then on again. Works most of the time. Kappa
I mean. I love the little side lore he always gave on the upcoming tasks. Like notifying you about Serris or Nightmare and the SA-X. Really did a huge part of building the atmo for me, also that little side plot was cool although they forgot to properly translate that the militairy part is only a small fraction group of the Galactic Fed, which was more of a plot point in Japanese, hence you don't hear about many repercussions in Dread. Speaking about Dread... Not gonna spoil but Adam in that game literally only recites what you already know. Even if you dunno the slightest bit about Metroid lore, he kinda tells you what you have JUST learned.
@@hiiambarney4489 shure this things are useful somehow but the over exposition and gameplay related things are way worse then Dread's. In Dread Adam is annoying just in the beggining, in this one he is annoying the hole game. It may be just Oats playtrough taking time to read and how fast he went from one Adam to another though.
I’m learning so much lore.

Imagine a squadron of Nightmares flying around in the opening of Metroid Prime
The “lore” run dies immediately at the 16 min mark. Incredible.
Only Oats could complete a 100% lore run without the lore, without 100% and also without completing. Truly revolutionary in his field
damn

DUDE PLOT OF METROID 6
that would be so good. her alone vs the G.F.
she goes where some of the thoha chozo are to get help.

Same, wouldn't be able to watch these without the uploads. Thanks.

Smart
Samus: Is it choppy? Goddamn it
I swear this is how I interpreted it, too!
1:30:19 I have heard nightmares cry from other M (from a video) and it LITERALLY is a crybaby

i played the hell out of Metroid Fusion in my Childhood!
Let's face it. We're not learning shit about the lore from these videos 😂😂😂 (We enjoy them though 👀👍🏼)
What, you didn't stop for a meal at Chic-Fil-A or download any hydrocodone from a Data Room during your playthrough of Fusion? /s
You just haven't been paying attention 😔🙏
The OatsNGoats lore is far more interesting.
Bruh, Oatly is fire, I also love the Chobani oat milk too, absolutely ballin’ for protein shakes.
Downloading missles won't ever not be funny.
"You wouldn't download a Power Bomb."
These Lore Talks complete my soul
Ah I was waiting for this lol
Damn no gauntlet at the end smh
I feel like a Fusion remake is just around the corner, maybe it can show off the next gen switch RTX lighting capability
Saw this and thought "great! I've been meaning to 100% this so I'll start a new game and play along with Oats. ^_^" ...FUCK!
My ears burned a lot while watching this
The choppy voice filter at the beginning... ouch.

Wow the opening cutscene was 45 minutes of the run

Will there be a part 2?
the 'gelanous' x parasites, ah yes.
that intro wasn't samus, it was Sa-X
So I’m just assuming this isn’t getting finished lol
And people complain about Adam in Dread... holly

In dread I just liked noticing on the second playthrough that he only refers to you as 'Lady' in the intro cutscene.
@@Blexmer1 There’s a reason for that, but it’s potential spoilers for the end game.
