I think Joker's the only one suffering from Titan poisoning because it interacted poorly with the chemical soup in his bloodstream, creating something entirely new that is killing him.
Plus at the end of Arkham asylum Batman uses an antidote on himself so he doesn’t become a titan so that could explain why he wasn’t affected until Joker gave him his blood.
I watched every “ was it really that good” breakdown and look back at each Arkham game and I’m so glad you put them all together in one video. Great thoughts and comedic spin on these great games 🙏
1:19:15 i think the reason joker does that is because of batmans monologue right before it made joker lose faith that batman would save him then he stabs him to try to grab the cure but misses it and it falls and shatters
Either that or he knew that breaking the cure was his best chance to shatter Batman completely. Joker always wanted Batman to kill him in the end, he wanted to be the one to actually break the bat. If Bruce had saved him, he probably wouldn’t have had another chance like what he had in that situation.
I personally am a game dev making my own singleplayer game. It is oddly interesting how much good info and thoughts these "look back to" videos to older games give me. Thanks.
A couple of fun facts. In Arkham Asylum there's three different after credit scenes. It can be Scarecrow, Killer Croc, or Bane. Also in Arkham City if you visit Bane during protocol 10 you can fight a bunch of Tyger Guards with him.
About the “spidey sense” thing there was a gadget in later grant morrison runs where he had a device on his belt that notified him of attacks from behind so it’s not too out of character
I think as a kid it's more difficult to appreciate. Cause when this dropped I didn't hate it, but it was by far my least favorite. Played it again when I was a lot older. Still not perfect. But holy fuck do I love the game.
Fun fact I learned recently from another channel: You don't actually have to crouch during the Killer Croc section in Asylum. You just have to not be running!
I’m pretty sure joker stabbed him in the arm because he wanted batman to drop the cure so joker died so that Batman thought that joker died because of him.

Done it and here’s something to know the opening part of knight if you don’t shoot you get a different saying from the two cops that see him in the cell
In regards to arkham knight, there's a positive with having the side content kinda off the main storyline is that you can beat the main campaign, continue to finish up the side content and it doesn't feel disconnected. It doesn't conflict with what you just finished. And realistically just cause a couple of villains have some huge plot going on, that doesn't mean the rest of them are just gonna sit inside for the night. Makes the world outside of the story feel WAY more alive and real. The likelihood of ALL the villains working together isn't plausible all in this scenario.

Recently played Origins for the first time, and i personally liked it a lot! Its interesting to see the difference from year one Batman to a seasoned Batman from Asylum/City. Jonkler kinda sucks in origins but everything else was amazing, and Cold Cold Heart was AWESOME
I got started with Batman games and played Asylum this year and had an absolute blast. I even finished it on Hardcore (and the achievement didnt pop on Steam ehh so I skipped trying to get platinum). Combat was very fun and boss fights got progressively more difficult. The hardest one for me on Hardcore was the one where you fight the big guy in an extremely small room and three waves of enemies. Took me forever. I actually rather liked the Poison Ivy fight because it was different and challenging, really difficult on Hardcore because of how many things you had to dodge. Looking forward to the next game.
I think the side missions in arkham city works in it own way because criminals like Bane, Hush are just doing messed up shit while being locked in an isolated area and no one's going to hold them accountable for them . Origins made it relevant by adding substance to it. That doesn't entirely make the city ones bad
These games came out 9 to 15 years ago and I played all of them last year for the first time. I found them to be some of the best games I’ve ever played. So I can only imagine how good they felt to play back when they came out. And yeah, when my friend told me that he liked Arkham City more than Arkham Knight, I was skeptical. How could I not like the game where you can’t drive the Batmobile more than the one where you can. But Arkham City is a perfect game! Oh my god. I love it so much. I 100% the main game that summer and there’s only a few games that I’ve done that with.
I actually said that before I got to the AC review. I didn’t say it was perfect to go against what you said. That’s just how it felt when I played it. And yet, you pointed out all of these criticisms. Weird.
They were just criticisms I had, it's still an amazing title but for projects like this I compare the titles to each other they are all 10/10 games 💪🏻👔
So actually you could make the argument that the prototype grapnel boost is a prototype for that suit as it's heavier and could protect against higher g forces than his origins suit alao i can't be the only one who misses the tie in origins mobile game
Maybe this is just cope, but I tend to believe it was WB, not Rocksteady, that pushed the live service aspects. The next Arkham game looks like it's going to be VR exclusive. What is their thought process? They're literally sitting on a money printer!
Honestly the new VR title announcement really pissed me off, with SSKTJL doing so poorly they had one chance to save the franchise and they dropped the ball again 💪🏻👔
I had one riddler trophy glitch out and it would not let me grab it. I did multiple resets, reboots and it wouldn’t work. I had to restart to get the 100%
Honestly watching at 3:05:11 my video glitched and started having to reload which was hilarious because it was right after saying it was the most buggy dlc
I feel like I’m one of the only people that actually liked the riddler trophies and riddles in Arkham Knight. The puzzles were fun and made me use my noggin a little more than in other games I’ve played. The sheer number of trophies was a little excessive, but it made beating Nigma’s ass up even more satisfying.
Haha thanks king 💪🏻 yeah when you hear yourself back it always sounds off and makes me worried people won't like hearing me talk for 5 minutes let alone a 4 hour video 💪🏻👔
I dont knew why, but in the beyond suit, batmans eyes look a little too far apart, so when ever the camera is facing him, he looks very indifferent, makes me laugh through all of the city footage
Ok so this may be a hot take but am I the only one that wishes we had better big bads than joker 2-3 times then a big bad who doesnt have a real boss fight
I might be one of a few, but I really liked the Troy Baker version of the Joker. It was less clownesk/campy than Hamill voices the character. Troy also varied more with some serious tone and a deeper, threatening voice. It made the Joker seem more unpredictable: unhinged and very dangerous.
If this is your first Arkham games experience, I recommend to play it by following the release date i.e. Arkham Asylum, City, Origin, and then Knight. You can feel Batman moveset and skill are progressing. The downside to play Knight first and then the previous titles, you'd feel the mechanics a little bit constrained and stiff.

Having watched a few different retrospectives on the Arkham series, I’ve never seen one which I agree so much with. Having played trough all of them a few times and now going back for the platinum trophies I’ve realised just how much I prefer Asylum and Origins to City and Knight and all of my reasons for that you brought up in the video. Arkham asylum does something none of the other games in terms of overall atmosphere and feel and Arkham origins had a solid story and really showcased the relationship between joker and Batman which is what the Arkham series is really about. Arkham knight’s story was a bit all over the place and the twist was way to predictable for being such a big part of the game. City just felt like a big fetch quest with everything just conveniently coming together all the time which made it feel a bit too forced. And also, miss me?

Arkham 2: David Zaz-off" Listen here kevin Conroy, You better get down to the studio in 20 minutes or I will slice off three shows and the first one is the movie called Batgirl and then there's Wiley E coyote versus Acme Incorporated." Arkham origins: David is currently mocking up the hub getting into massive gambling debt and Piss off the Penguin, Because the penguin is a bronie! The Penguin: " You listen here I want more applejack episodes or you start feeding my friend Bruce." Arkham Knight: " Look I'm sorry I didn't know that you really liked the show." David Zazloff underneath the barrel of one Jason Todd. " I was going to be in the next season of young justice and what you did to me in Titans is unforgivable!"
Okay, you've convinced me. Arkham City is the second worst Arkham game, just above Blackgate. And this is overall game here. Story and gameplay. Because I actually think the story of Blackgate is better than City's given how thoroughly you picked apart City's story with relative ease. Edit: Also, Roger Craig Smith is easily my favorite Batman voice actor. Not only does he, uh, act like a human being when voicing Batman (he imbues emotion into his performance), but the voice is also just silky smooth. I could listen to Roger Craig Smith's Batman reading audiobooks and sleep happy.
Arkham city's Catwoman made me feel some questionable things. Like hands down the best design and personality for Catwoman, Arkham Knight is a close competitor but Arkham City was just too good for its time.

I don't hate it, it definitely had the best combat and graphics but the story and side missions were weak and it could have been better.
The tank parts really messed up the immersion for me. There are way too many sessions with it for my liking.
The game itself and the story were good
I'd say the story was on par with city. Like city had some pretty contrived moments. It's all comic book shlock at the end of the day.

Like hands down the best design and personality for Catwoman, Arkham Knight is a close competitor but Arkham City was just too good for its time.
every time harley showed up i got either gender dysphoria or extremely distracted. anyways, two guns .
