I love my fishing to i learn from my father as a young boy I knew the places the names ika pirau means rotten fish it's something u will never forget this show your tamariki I will be watching u keep up good mahi .

I was in Northland last autumn but didn't get to the far north because the said harbor was closed to boats. Anyway, I will probably catch up in January if you are about. GREAT channel! Not that many harbours up north with limited access have a decent look on the charts, haven't been to parengarenga for a long time but wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to shut that off.
I know where this fish haven is! Been there done that but you have to ask permission from the private land owners to access it by car. Yopu can get there by boat as well as...

Those Far North folk are determined to take our precious public land to control then shut it off to the public. This has happened to Taputaputa Bay, Matai Bay, The Bluff, Scotts Point, Parengarenga, Te Paki Stream, Puheke Beach and more in just a few short years. I reckon they will try and cut the entire coast off to the public

With the intention of preventing the spread of Caulerpa brachypus an exotic seaweed that could be a big problem if it got established in this harbor. The only way in that is not on iwi land is through the bar crossing. It might seem harsh but if things turn bad no one has anything

With courage the Pupil then asked his mum "Mum can you look into buying me a new pair of shoes". She snapped back "Look Hemi I just dont have enough money for these things, besides I have all the other kids to care for as well as you, maybe another day though" just like she had promised him the other times. Undeterred the school student grabbed a roll of black duct tape and wound around the shoes and around to refix the soles back to the shoes. Then he grabbed some black paint to paint his repair job. Next day he presented himself proudly to his mum "Look Mum good as new" then chuffed move off to go to school. On Arriving there at school this young man was berated, belittled and teased for the entire day today even more so then other days. Not long after school finished he went missing and they found him hanging by the neck in his mums shed.
