What I love about the whole Koo Koo era was how Debbie went in entirely different direction both musically and in her image. This was nearly the total opposite of what Blondie was, and she wasn't afraid to do it.
I don't know about GR8 album & I worshipped her at the time. Compared to auto American blonde it was a C+ to an A....I LOVE this song. Backfired was released but this one is more FUNKed...I still listen to the lp from time to time & military rap is kinda like what Madonna tried with a segment of American life a little meh Xxo
My favorite song from a brilliant album. Shame it bombed, because either Debbie Harry or the people at her label had the idiotic idea of turning her into a Madonna wanna-be and we ended up getting sub-par, disposable pop like Sweet & Low and In Love With Love.
@@jasonchace494 I'm not talking about KooKoo, but Rockbird. That's when Debbie became more of a "pop" star to try ans fit with what was popular at the time.

Love her
Brilliant collaboration. It's a pity these two didn't do more together. HR Giger, the late, great, an artist for our times and for all time.
I loved this album to pieces when this 45 year old got it back in the day. hehe! Way ahead of its time... Originally from Montreal too!
Thanks Wunschen, Love this track! Love the Album!
So Debbie was the real Alien Queen. Cool Geiger-inspired vid.
HR Giger directed it, and 3 other videos and the cover of her first solo album "Koo-Koo". It's a great album, Nile Rogers produced it.

I completely agree. But, I think it was too much all at once.
I agree with you but there was no Madonna in 81
