fan number the initial kilogram is kg why the F would one initiate pound to lb ? why not P? if they stole the measuring units from the romans who called their weight measuring libra pondo which is understandably initiated as lb then let them call pound libra pondo. Dont borrow half to pretend you're unique, borrow the whole thing to make sense gaddemit :)

We call bottled fizzy drinks "soda" in kenya, if you order "mineral" they will assume its water. Also, in some regions of USA its referred to as either "pop" or "coke" ! Its the same way casual shoes are called either "sneakers" or "tennis shoes" in America !! I think people should also know "soccer" is a term that was first coined and used in the UK, not America.

Fun fact, this is actually not a term that Americans made up but it did some how become the one that was used instead of "football". The word "soccer" comes from a slang abbreviation of the word "association" in "association football". The term originated in the 1880s among students at Oxford University, who would shorten words and add "-er" to the end. For example, "breakfast" became "brekker" and "rugby" became "rugger". "Association football" was shortened to "assoccer" and then further to "soccer". The term was first recorded as "socker" in 1891.
