I saw at around 8 min, u seemed surprised that India has martial arts. As someone who loves studying movement, I think you'd really enjoy looking at Meypayattu - the body conditioning exercises within Kalaripayattu. Very unique, trancelike, flowing sequnces of dynamic stretches, agility, and devotional gestures that doesn't exist in other systems as far as I know. It's said that not only martial artists but also traditional dancers benefit from practicing the Meypayattu

Read the Mahabharata. Arjuna was a kshatriya (warrior). I would find it surprising if the culture which produced the first written document (Rg Veda and Upanishads) and was the source of so much more didn’t have warriors.

Meir Shahar - The Shaolin Monastery, best book on the subject. That said - Yellow Emperor is Pre-History. Shaolin is Wei Dynasty (300s AD). Wudang is Tang Dynasty (600s AD). Emei is even younger. Tao Yin longevity practices are from before Shaolin or “Bodhidharma” - Qin and Han Dynasty period (200s - 50 BC not AD) and that’s just one book. Yellow Emperor Classic compilation is way before.
Also Bodhidharma did not bring Martial Arts to China - monks were not out of shape. Lol. They had already been recruited to fight in wars and defended against bandits way before that.
Jiao Di Wrestling in China is from Pre-History period, like the Yellow Emperor. 5000 Years. Then becomes Xiang Pu, closer to Sumo style of Belt Wrestling minus being very heavy weight. Then becomes Jiao Li (Military style Combat, similar to The Mongolians deeply entrenched wrestling culture).
There is truly nothing new under the Sun. We have video footage of “MMA” in Burma, from 1896. We also have written manuals from Fujian, from the same period - which is preserved in Okinawa showing the blend of locks, strikes, throws, etc. Humans are forgetful though.
